Asteria Family Sunny Beach - Ultra All Inclusive

We are very disappointed from this hotel. Ultra all inclusive is supposed to have nicer drinks than just Bulgarian drinks. Food is beyond tasteless, very little choice, everything is very cheap opposite to the very high rates we paid. Rooms are nothing special, air conditioners are not working. On balcony is so noisy, you can’t hear anything if you want to sit there. Nothing interesting as animation. Not recommending it to anyone.

Tatty 2* at best hotel. Where to start. The staff are excellent the housecleaners in everyday fresh towels etc. Serving staff excellent also. The food is mediocre but seldom warm theres plenty salad cheeses fruit and veg and the little cakes are nice. The snack bar is basic and repetitive but it's what you expect. Alcoholic drinks are local and weak as is the watery juice and pop. We went out a few times for food for a change to the stews regularly served up. The hotel is in a good location for flower st and the beach. The private beach was terrible. Basic beds rock hard no toppers we lasted an hour before returning to the pool as did numerous other. There is a cabin where you can get beer n juices but thats it and it's 50m to the sea on hot sand. Pool area is decent but seen alot of people slipping on the nontactile tiles and the lids of the accodrains are loose and dangerous the place could do with some basic maintenance. If you have a late flight it is a nightmare asked to keep the room on and after messing me about for 2 and a half hours they said no. There is a luggage room but no showers to get freshened up later ive had words with them about it and there will be a complaint going into jet2 about it as it seems to be f u jack we've had your money. On the whole 1st and last time to sunny beach but if I did come back it certainly won't be here.

Dirty rooms but good all inclusive Context: We went to Sunny Beach as three men, all 27 years old, and chose this hotel because we weren’t going on a party trip. Just a weekend getaway. I have rated the hotel in the following categories: 1. Cleaning: 1 of 5. When we came to the hotel the room was very dirty. I believe they may have given us this room because of the fact that we were three men and that they thought we did not care. There was dried old food under two beds and dirt in every corner. When we went barefoot in the room the first day our feet was full of dirt. I complained at the reception and showed pictures and they promised it would be better but it never improved the following days. 2. The all inclusive-experience: 5 of 5. The snack bar, restaurants, bath towels, pubs and the service from the staff in those places were very good. I would also like to point out that there were an extraordinary amount of activities to do for children. I would really recommend this hotel for families. 3. Pool and beach-area: 2 of 5. The beach was full of sunbeds and parasols belonging to the hotel. It was never full and very good and pretty clean. The hotel also had a beer-shack on the beach for soft drinks and such. It was good. The pool area was a mess, though. Extremely full and an obnoxious loud speaker that was blasting from morning to night. We avoided this area because of those reasons. If you are sensitive to loud noises: Do not go to this hotel.

The hotel is OK. We got ultra inclusive, whatever that is. We were going to get a free al a carte meal in a fish/Italian restaurant included, but that was a shambles. Yesterday we were told by the receptionist that we couldn't book it until between 12 to 14 o'clock today. So we had to wait around all morning today until 12, when we were told that the restaurant was fully booked until the end of season. It was ugly. The receptionist must have known it yesterday. We are not happy.

Check in was delayed as the receptionist first said we're at a wrong hotel and can't check us in with the confirmation code we had eve if she had our names. She did not apologize which was weird. As we were at the right place and she checked us in after i started contacting booking. We got a room at building C. Room no 8. The night club working till 6am in front of our room was a joke so with a complaint made our first night at 3am we were moved to a different room on our 3rd day. For us personally this place is not a family place we made the booking guided by the 9.4 reviews I jave a video made if someone needs it I'll send it to you.
