Please listen to the bad reviews and do not book here. From start to finish it felt awful. Most of the staff are rude and don't care. There was a used tampon in the pool for 2 days and even after telling staff they told me if I don't like it don't use the pool. Food was cold had bites taken out of it flies on if and none of the staff cared. I got shouted at for asking for ice in a drink. The food was inedible and a lot of people we spoke to agreed and we ate out daily 3 meals a day. Wasn't expecting luxury but this is below bare minimum. Entertainment was non existent. Maybe 30 min in evening? Our room was dirty with drawers broken shower wasn't fitted right so had cold showers only . There was black mould in the fridge . I would rather a hostel then ever stay here again. Please do not book here. Please save your sanity and sleep on the street before coming here.

I had some misgivings about staying here, but thought to ignore the negative reviews and give it a punt. I regret this. The only positive I can give is that the rooms are kept clean and the maids do a fantastic job, other than that there is not much to say that is positive. 1. Food - absolutely terrible most days, with confusing names on the labels of the food, prime example was a meat dish that looked like a mix of moussaka and lasagne, that was labeled 'frozen with mixed vegetables'. From cottage pie with pink mince to fried chicken fillets that were raw in the middle, it just was not good. Soups such as cream of tomato looked and tasted like basic tomato and basil pasta sauce out of a jar. Desserts although nice, were the exact same lunch and dinner everyday, although the middle of the baklava's pastry was always undercooked and doughy. Waiters/bar staff - I did not once see a member of staff smile, and we were made to feel like an inconvenience. One instance when I asked for soda water at the pool bar, I was given the dirtiest look with a reply of 'what is that'. The cocktails are also undrinkable, far too strong with very cheap spirits. The biggest issue was when a family's child was stuck inbetween 2 slides trying to get out of the pool, his head bobbing down in the water - the lifeguard just watched this happen so my friend had no choice but to jump in the pool and save the boy. The parents were grateful, but the lifeguard thanked my friend and said he didn't want to jump in as it was too cold. This is a serious duty of care issue and is totally unacceptable seeing as it is a lifeguard's job to help the guests in instances like this. I suggest looking elsewhere for a hotel in the future.

In my opinion the only things that make this hotel a 3 star is the food and the dated rooms. They for me are the only negatives. The pools are clean, the slides are great fun. Drinks including cocktails are all good. Snack bar is great for an afternoon snack. The food- not the best, could always find something but definitely 3 star food. The rooms, very old and dated, beds are very low and not the most comfortable but manageable for the duration of the holiday. Added extras which you don’t often find in 3* are comfy cushioning on the subbed, the drinks you can ask for as many as you want. Toiletries in the bathroom so you can manage for the first day if you don’t wish to pack them. Clean towels daily. The only other thing I can plan about and it’s really nothing is that the pool area closes at 6 and doesn’t open again until 9pm so there is no where to sit in the sunshine after 6. Would I return to this hotel? Yeah but I’d bring extra cash to eat out of the hotel

The review of AmyErin802018 is way off the mark. They chose a hotel which is on Flower Street, the of the resort, then complain about noise. Sunny Beach is a huge resort, with quieter areas for people not wanting the busy nightlife. The moral of this is to do a bit of research. PS: I actually spent a day at the Kuban with friends and I really don't recognise much of their concerns. PPS: To say that Sunny Beach isn't a resort for families is laughable. There are fun fairs there that they EVEN mention in their review. If that isn't for children then I don't know what is.

After reading some of the recent negative reviews I regretted booking this hotel and was actively dreading what awaited us. How wrong was I. We have just spent a really enjoyable 2 weeks here and were sad to leave. We are a family of 6 with 4 children aged 4 to 17. Some of the bad reviews are really misleading and some are nothing other than lies. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly when we checked in. Most of the staff in fact are nice. Certainly never got shouted at by any of them as some reviewers suggest is common practice. There was only one older man in the main restaurant who was sour faced but everyone else had a smile. There really is nothing wrong with the food and from the looks of things nobody was starving. People were piling their plates high and going back for seconds and thirds. There is loads of choice at every meal. The only thing you have to queue for is freshly made pancakes in the morning and this down to greed more than anything else. People taking more than their fair share means the lady can’t make them fast enough to keep up with demand. I’ve seen the restaurant described as “chaotic” and the food luke warm which was not our experience. Loved the snack bar at the pool. They serve chips, pizza, waffles, donuts etc. Different fillings in the sandwiches every day. The floor is tiled and you have to wear shoes. Some people did not like being reminded of this when they walked in bare foot and sopping wet. The staff did not shout. They were polite and were just trying to avoid an accident. The drinks selection isn’t the best but very typical of this type of AI hotel. We loved the vodka slushies and the roof top bar serves watermelon flavour which were really nice. The pool area is brilliant. We all loved it, especially the water slides. People do queue and reserve sun loungers but nothing new there. The rooms are the reason I haven’t given 5 stars. They are very, very dated and I don’t like carpet in hotel rooms in general. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness when we arrived and the maid came every day with fresh towels. Did feel that the bed linen needed changing more often. Our bath had a leak. Reported to reception and within half an hour, a maintenance man came and fixed it. There was a fridge and hair dryer which was handy. There aren’t enough lifts for the size of the hotel but as we were on the 6th floor we just used the stairs. Wouldn’t have liked to be on one of the higher floors as you’d spend a lot of time waiting. Really surprised at the lack of research people do about Sunny Beach then take to Trip Advisor to moan. Sunny Beach is a very busy and lively resort. There are lots of bars and clubs. There is loud music. There are fairground rides. It is a place people go to party. If this is not your scene, do not stay here. We loved going for a wander in the evenings and tried a couple of the local bars for cocktails. Felt totally safe at all times. There are quite a few sex shops and

Noisy hotel/surroundings Dated room furnishings Badly constructed furniture Dirty carpets Broken toilet seat Dirty stained shower curtain Hand held shower spray Bath plug not working No bathroom basin plug 70s style hairdryer in bathroom taped up Safety on water slides could be better. E.g. floats, airbeds, ball games etc should not be allowed in the water slide exit pools. A smile from the staff wouldn't go amiss!! The Old Town was a refreshing escape from a VERY busy Sunny Beach

We visited Kuban from 12/08/2025 to 22/8/2025. We came as a family of 8- ranging from 50plus to 13. There was something for all of us to do. Sunny beach is very much a party area but that did not bother any of us as there was never any trouble. The hotel is clean and you always see cleaners around. Great location!!! Short walk to the beach with loads of shops available and right on the *****. we have 4 rooms between us and with the door to your room shut heard no noise from outside. The slides at this hotel was brilliant! People queue up from 8am for the pool to open at 9am and run out to get a sunbed but there is really no need. we always found a spot straight away and there was never a queue for the slides. Cleaned up each morning and evening. All inclusive food was good, we all found something to eat each meal and some are very fussy eaters. Snack bar was brilliant, we all loved the fries. Drinks available from 10am to 11pm which was good. Breakfast as you could get coffee, tea, hot chocolate and a mix of juices in there. Personally favourite was the kiwi slush on the sunny bar, with a dash of vodka for the adults. Icecream was the best all inclusive icecream we have came across. One problem was the lifts but as the hotel is so tall there is nothing really that can be fixed. Sometimes you would be waiting a long time for it to be empty as if to many got in it would say overload. Luckily we was only on 5th floor so could easily walk. Half of our party got stuck in a lift on the way to transfer to airport but the hotel was helpful and got people there to fix it. We would definitely return.

All inclusive, best thing on the menu were the pancakes at breakfast. We ate out as a family of five was not ideal when paid for all inclusive. Family apartment hmm 1 double room then the other beds consisted of a Z bed a chair that folds out to a bed and a sofa that folds out all extremely uncomfortable. Pool area brilliant for children also a good snack bar that we used daily due to the food in the restaurant. On arrival our towels and bed linen were stained so yet another complaint . I would rate it as a 2 star from my experience staying here .
