Roker Hotel, BW Premier Collection

Very disappointed to find on checkout that the supposed £50 swipe they demanded of my card for health and safety was in fact to cover possible damage to the room and would not be refunded until my room was cleaned and inspected if they don’t trust me then I don’t trust them I refused to leave until room had been inspected and my refund authorised

The hotel location is good, the environment and rooms are clean especially the bathroom. The breakfast is not very good, it's just warm and not much variety to eat. The fruits doesn't look fresh

Absolutely love the junior suite. Had a fabulous night and a lovely breakfast.

Room , hotel and staff were lovley .But cleaning staff from 6am and a corridor door outside our room going 24/7 from 6am :-( .TV remote wouldn't work.thought it was battery's. Staff came up with in minutes with new battery's but remote still wouldn't connect

Beautiful seafront location with a decent sized car park. Choice of two restaurants and a gin bar on site which all look amazing. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. Room decorated tastefully with a nautical vibe. Loveky stay!

Room to small need a update carpet need a good clean all round hotel food we had for breakfast not fresh they said it was but you could tell it was from freezer

We stayed at this hotel to catch up with some relatives that live in Sunderland. It was a lovely stay - the staff were very friendly and the rooms were lovely, clean and warm. I only scored 4 stars as the rooms were a bit small, and some difficult to find especially if you were down in the basement (but cannot help layout of the building!). I think you may struggle staying here if you need an accessible room. The hotel tags onto a pub which was nice, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. Will stay again when visiting family.

From the moment I arrived I received the friendliest and warmest of welcomes from Kate the manager, I was very stressed as it had been a tough day but the team really could not do enough to turn this around. Every single team member offered genuine kindness and went the extra mile, including Nikky and the lovely Filipino lady in the Let There Be Crumbs restaurant (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name). The hotel itself is beautiful and the restaurant next door, Antico is not to be missed, wonderful staff, exceptional food delivered with a smile. What all hotels should be. Five stars!

Olivia lovely on reception Rooms a little tired but clean Breakfast tasty but not as hot as would expect with limited choices or items ‘out of stock’ and advised didn’t have enough tea pots to provide tea at breakfast especially when after hotel breakfasts finish it converts to a tea room Overall pleasant stay
