The Albion Summit

I recently stayed at The Summit Hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The location is fantastic—just a few blocks from downtown Summit and about a 10-minute walk to the train station, which offers easy access into New York City. The hotel itself has historical charm (originally built in the 1860s), but the interior has been beautifully updated. The lobby, bar, and restaurant have clearly been renovated recently and feel stylish and modern. The main bar and restaurant were lively, drawing a friendly crowd of young professionals. There’s also a second bar located downstairs, which I believe operates mainly on weekends. Additionally, the hotel features a cigar lounge that’s thoughtfully separated from the main areas, so it doesn’t interfere with the experience of non-smokers. My room was clean, cozy, and the bed was very comfortable—perfect for a restful night. I also noticed at least two well-appointed conference rooms, which would be great for business travelers or small events. Summit itself is a charming town with a great selection of restaurants and cafes, including at least three local coffee shops and a Starbucks. I had breakfast at the Summit Diner—a classic New Jersey spot with great food and a nostalgic feel. The town has a vibrant but relaxed atmosphere, with residents that seemed to be mostly young professionals. I even saw police patrolling on bikes, which added to the sense of safety. Lots of joggers and families out and about gave the town a welcoming, community-oriented vibe. I don’t visit New Jersey often, but when I do, The Summit Hotel will definitely be my go-to place to stay. Highly recommended!

It was a beautiful old historic hotel that has been renovated.

Work in Progress Hotel is going under some serious renovation, so there are some inconveniences. Room was comfortable though, and the location was excellent. Very interesting lobby, restaurant, ball room

Remodel needs a Remodel Room with poor amenities. Noisy air conditioning. Small room.

beautiful property -- spent only one night and left early for procedure at Overlook hospital which was very conveniently located.

The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful.
