Jiwa Jawa bromo is the perfect place to stay for a sunrise tour to mount Bromo. The hotel itself and the service is outstanding. The hotel organised our pick up from Surabaya airport and our transport for the early morning sunrise tour. Driver/guide Surabaya to mount Bromo: Our guide was great! From picking us up from the airport to dropping us off to the hotel. It was a fun journey and He was well organized and friendly the entire way. His English was easy to understand. He took care of everything. If we needed to make a stop to eat (we are vegetarians) , he knew the best places to go to. He took care of our luggage and had everything ready to go when we were arriving and leaving the hotel, it was five star treatment all the way. He's the best guide to get you to and from mount bromo!

We stayed at Istana Petani Homestay to visit Bromo. The homestay is simple but clean. They also provide meals. We had dinner, and it was Indonesian food, quite good. They can also arrange airport pick-up and drop-off for you and organize the Bromo excursion. They were very friendly and made your life very easy, and the prices are very reasonable. If you feel like taking a walk around, the views are spectacular.

They go to great lengths for their guests. We left a small bag in the hotel after checkout to go waterfall. After waterfall our guide was texted about the left behind bag. They eventually sent one staff to bring the bag on motorbike to meet us at Lumbang market ( about half hour from hotel) . Really appreciate the super awesome service. It is closer to bromo, so it will be cheaper to rent a jeep along this route. The room facilities are relatively old. It may have been a relatively large resort in the past, and the rooms at the back were abandoned. But we just rested for a few hours, had hot water, and used the toiletries we brought with us, which was enough. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and only cost more than 30 yuan.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. However value for money is very poor. Soundproofing is nonexistent so you can hear all the noise coming from the noisy road, other rooms and the reception. Other reviewers talk about the view from this place. It’s nothing special if you have taken in the magic of views hiking (not in some stupid jeep) in the national park.

The hotel is located in an ideal location for those who want to enjoy the views of the famous Bromo Volcano. The comfortable rooms create a cozy atmosphere to relax after a busy day. The hotel is one of the closest to Mount Bromo, with a quiet environment. I didn't want to get up early, nor did I want to be disturbed by people who get up early, so I chose this one. There is a viewing point 5 minutes walk from the hotel, but the volcano and the sunrise are in two different directions, so you can't see the volcano at sunrise. The cabin is built on the mountain, which is very distinctive, but it depends on which one, and it is a bit far from the front desk, and it is not very convenient to drag luggage up the stairs. The room is small and the bathroom is a bit simple, but overall it's okay. After all, it's under the volcano, and I'm not sure about other houses. It's quite cool at night, and the back is thin. The hotel provides an electric heater, but remember to turn off the fan vent, otherwise it always feels windy. There are mountains and wilderness outside the window of the cabin. If you like nature, it's still a good feeling.
