They post a number to call at the front desk and someone appears. We originally were only going to stay here one night, but liked it so much we were able to extend our stay. Our room (the Moses room) was lovely, with a comfortable bed and sitting chairs, a mini-fridge stocked with (free) sodas and water, a tea and coffee stand and a great shower. The free breakfast was cooked to order and delicious, and dinner was a nice change from the same old choices at most restaurants these days. The location is excellent for enjoying the White Mountains and all the little towns nearby.

The innkeepers and owners were very welcoming and friendly. We loved the location, it's a bit away from the hustle and bustle but is just a short drive to area attractions. They have done a great job of melding old and new at the inn. The rooms are updated but still charming. We had breakfast and one dinner at the inn. The server was very accomodating and the food was very well prepared.

Great people at the Inn - Liz, Destiny, Hope and the owner Chris - a beautiful room (reco the Dream Cottage), wonderful breakfasts (including absolutely decadent French toast) and dinner, and a great spot to travel in the White Mts, or really anywhere in NH. Had an issue with something in the room, but Chris made it right, with a quick and efficient fix. A relaxing and great time there.

My husband and I owned a home in Franconia for 20+ years and sold it a few years ago. I told my husband I wanted to come back to see the Lupines every year. We had eaten at the Sugar Hill Inn several times over the years and NEVER had a bad meal. The food is outstanding. Since the lupines are vibrant in Sugar Hill we decided to stay at the Inn for a few nights. We stayed in the Richardson Suite. The room was charming. Very large and roomy. It had a beautiful bath/jacuzzi. The shower was extremely small for my 6'3" husband. Our sink was 90% clogged the whole time we were there. Our suite was off of the library which had a public bathroom in it so we used the sink in there. They had a beautiful coffee bar in the room. We had a deck off the room which over looked the pool. Our deck needed some updating the furniture and painting needed updating. The property was in a place that was still preparing for their up coming season so the pool was still a work in progress as well as the landscaping. We had a very comfortable four poster bed however the bottom left post had been broken off and glued on which didn't hold so we told the staff of the post and the clogged sink upon our departure. The meal we had on Wednesday night was outstanding. We are planning on returning next year but will rent one of the stand alone units which are more updated. The Inn is charming but like any old building is a work in progress.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Sugar Hill Inn to celebrate our anniversary. We had two delicious dinners and wonderful breakfasts each day. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The inn is close to wonderful hiking areas.
