Petites maisons bien équipées suffisantes pour 2 adultes 2 enfants. A côté du terrain de camping. Chambre à l'étage en sous pente (pas possible de se mettre debout). Literie confortable. Le tout très propre. Nous avons en bonus pu profiter d'un magnifique coucher de soleil.

Piccolissimo mini appartamento su 2 piani, collegati da una piccola scala. Al piano superiore solamente il letto, senza spazio nemmeno per stare in ginocchio. Il letto stesso è un materasso appoggiato per terra. Non ci starebbe altro. Divano letto non comodo. Angolo cottura funzionale in rapporto agli spazi. A parte la scomodità degli spazi ridottissimi è una buona soluzione per una notte.

Small house for up to 4 people inside the campsite, very welcoming (equipped with facilities for disabled people in the bathroom). As requested they also provided us with some extra pillows. Convenient kitchenette and sofa/bed. The double bed (actually a mattress placed on the ground as there is no space) on the upper floor is uncomfortable and can only be reached by a steep staircase and by crouching down (not recommended for anyone taller than 180cm). No TV, good wifi. Recommended for just one night as long as you don't want to sleep on the sofa bed.

Even if the outside didn't convince me, the inside of this cottage is really typical. Located on two floors, it has all the needs for a peaceful stay. The bedroom in the attic is truly intimate and characteristic. The village in which it is located is splendid for a stroll. It is also located near petrol stations, a super market and an excellent pastry shop for breakfast in the morning!

This is a cluster of 4 cabins with each cabin divided into 2 studio apartments that share a wall. The apartment comes with a kitchenette together with china and cutlery for preparing basic meals. The lower level features a sofa cum bed. The main sleeping area is on the upper level accessed via a staircase. There is very limited clearance there and the space is good only for sleeping. The place was impeccably clean, very well maintained, with fittings that looked new. The harbour, restaurants, and grocery stores are all within easy walking distance and none beyond 12 mins. Wifi very good. We came to Stykkishólmur in a helicopter. The warm and friendly owner was kind enough to pick us up at the airstrip and ferry us to the accommodations. She also gave us a ride back to the airstrip the next morning. Vatnsás 10 has my highest recommendation. A word of caution: if you have any mobility issues, the steep staircase and access to the upper level will present problems. You may have to make do with sleeping on the sofa-cum-bed downstairs.

Very nice semi-detached maisonette concept. Construction that still smells new and very clean interior. Very good soundproofing and thermal insulation from the outside.
