A great place to stay. On this visit, I stayed in the motel unit, up the hill. A large room, very close to the outside pool. The pool is great with shaded areas and seating. Very reasonable price. Beds are not comfortable and should be replaced. For better and closer accomodations to the restaurant and bar, stay in the inn, also very nice rooms, or the new hotel attached to the historic inn, with fabulous rooms and decor.

Booked this place to visit OSV "Christmas by Candlelight." It is convenient, has campus-like multiple one or two story buildings. Office staff was friendly, competent and responsive. (Our room did not have towels and they very quickly delivered them.) Room was spacious and extremely clean with a four-poster bed and a (non-operating) fireplace.. Furnishings, toiletries,etc. were what you would expect although there was a seasonable surprise of hor chocolate mix and candie canes. Coffee and muffins were available in the morning along with a gift card to use in the nearby coffee shop. Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodations and value for our money.

Recently reopened - I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment. Emily at the Front Desk is a gem!!! So helpful with everything from directions to nearby sites and places to dine - just wonderful. The Lodge itself is immaculate - so clean and very nicely decorated. We could only spend 1 night but if we get the chance again - we would definitely stay again!!! Beautiful grounds as well :)

Look on their own web. Place is totally closed. No Vacancy signs outside. No cars anywhere. Look, if you are a tourist or somebody traveling through Sturbridge, this is not available. Very Busy route for driving with on/off Mass Pike and Route 84. Don't depend on spending a night here. We drive by a couple times a week so I have recent info....
