At $100 it's not a good value. Totally renovated in 2016 my room had new doors, new bathroom, good furniture but, the room was overly sparse. I had a micro and fridge but, no coffee maker. Nowhere to set luggage nor hang anything up. There are drawers available in the counter that held the TV and fridge. One small table and single wooden kitchen chair and a bed. That's it. It appeared to be pretty clean though. No breakfast - not even ice. It's a park at door but, I was put in the corner so I had to park a few doors down. Casey's store nearby saved the evening with deli food and ice.

The man checking us in was very polite and a quick check in. The room was large and had a refrigerator with a good size freezer. This is an older place but clean. We found a great Mexican place to eat in this smaller mid western town! Would stay again if in the area.

This is a basic motel, not fancy. But it is clean and the beds are high quality and the room is large and clean. The refrigerator and freezer are separate and quiet and the freezer is really cold. The hvac is back with the bathroom and there is a partition so almost all the sound stays back there and the unit is very quiet. Next door is a parking area for 18 wheelers and two big filling stations and McDonald’s. Yet the room is quiet and the air conditioning masks the noise. The office has great advice on food and though the population is less than 2000 the town is fascinating and the people are friendly. Inexpensive safe quiet motel.

I stayed at the Stuart Motor Lodge (203 SW 7th St., Stuart, IA 50250) in room #3 on the one night of Sunday, 31 July 2022. The single-story, L-shaped motel is two blocks off I-80, near two gas/convenience stores and fast food (McDonald's & Subway). The nice lobby features free morning coffee, and guests park directly in front of their room. The spacious parking lot had room for truckers. I had a reservation by phone (with e-mailed confirmation) for $71.50; however, the nice young desk clerk printed out a bill for $88. I got this reduced to $77 and was too tired to argue further. The overcharge was $5.50. My room's key card was electronic with no insertion. The spotlessly clean, spacious King room had a desk + lamp, 2 chairs, a wall lamp, nightstand, alarm clock, mini fridge/freezer, flat-screen TV, long 2-drawer dresser, mirror, and clothing rack + hangers. The bathroom sink was separate from the shower & toilet. The air conditioner was in the back of the room so it wouldn't blow on the bed; its constant fan enabled blocking any outside noise (road noise was minimal to none regardless). The spotlessly clean bathroom had 2 small soaps, a small shampoo, a 1500-watt hair-dryer, and Boardwalk toilet paper (yes!). I saw no tissue box. Water pressure in all fixtures was very strong, and the faucet/bath fixtures looked new. The shower rod was curved and the shower head was very high up. The bath linens were spotless but almost inadequately thin. When I asked, the desk clerk recommended a couple of non-chain restaurants in town, one of which I went to. The bed was nicely firm, and I slept like a rock. The positives of this motel were drive-up access, cleanliness, price (despite overcharge), and strong water pressure. My suggestions to management are to provide a tissue box, a fold-out suitcase rack, higher-quality bath linens, and a shelf or small table on which guests can spread out personal toiletries. I would appreciate a refund of the overcharge. When rating a place, my question is, "Could I stay here happily for a week?" For this motel, the answer is, "Probably not a week, but for longer than one night," for reasons mentioned. I recommend that you consider the Stuart Motor Lodge if you're in the area.

When have been to the other hotel's around. But this one is one of the best in the area. There is not alot of parking but there is a truck stop right by the hotel so if you have an RV like us you can park there. The rooms was great. The people here are very nice. The beds was great. And the bathrooms looked very New so if you like baths that's good. Thank you for have a nice clean and friendly hotel.

We needed to stop for the evening and a local restaurant recommended the Stuart Motor Lodge, so we took their advice. It is newly renovated and the rooms are beautiful, clean etc. Even with minimal amenities, they deserve 5 stars for the helpful front desk employees. This is a locally owned establishment in small town America and we were happy to support them. It is truly a charming place.

This place does not have a hot breakfast, hair dryers, curling irons, in-room telephones, luggage racks, laundry service, fancy toiletries, luxurious linens, or "heavenly" mattresses. What it does have--some of which were unexpected: * Screaming fast WiFi. Don't worry if it goes off and needs reset--the 24-hour staff will gladly reboot and get it going again. * 24-Hour Front Desk Staff. * CLEAN rooms. * A peephole cover (it matters to us ladies). * New windows and doors; three locks on door. * I counted 7 available outlets in the sleeping area, plus two in the bathroom area. * Plenty of lamps--all bulbs burning. * 2 small bars of soap and shampoo/conditioner combo. * Plenty of towels and T.P. Need more, just ask. * 2 trash cans, with liners. Need more liners, just ask. * Quiet, toasty heater (I stayed in winter)--they warm up your room for you in advance, if they know you're coming. * An excellent little refrigerator with A SEPARATE FREEZER COMPARTMENT--not a measly top shelf in the refrigerator. The freezer *really* freezes, too. * A powerful little microwave. * Two BIG dresser drawers, plus shelf space. * Flatscreen, good-sized, cable TV. * Closet hanging bar and top shelf. * Great water pressure. * And, one of the best things of all . . . . ON-DEMAND HOT WATER!!! This place is worth the stay, and has a reasonable price. Don't pass it up because it has a lot going for it. Thank you for reading my review.
