Premier Inn Stroud

Efficient friendly staff, quick check in. Restaurant was fast even though was busy. Had a good walk round the park and fed some swans. Solo traveller just one night whilst passing.

I had seen bad reviews for this hotel as it is an old building so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was the usual Premier Inn experience. Very friendly check in and out staff. Very clean and comfortable room. The public areas were also very clean. I was very satisfied with my stay and will stay there again in future. It is very well situated for walking into Stroud and visiting the local area.

Little bit of an outdated building compared to others I’ve stayed at but it was a pleasant stay, my room was clean and the staff were efficient and very friendly when dealing with any requests

We stayed here in early July 2025, the room was unbearably hot no sleep much over the 2 days, the curtains were hanging off the track on one side and noisey background all night possibly an extraction fan. There was an unpleasant odour in the stairwell and stained carpet as well. This place needs a refurbishment.

I arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night, lone female and was given what I believe must be the worst room in the hotel. Apparently rooms are designated the day before so they know exactly who is staying. The room was boiling as they have no air conditioning. You can’t open the windows though as the kitchen extractor fan is attached to the wall making a noise. The room overlooks the bins and untidy, filthy back yard. The room has net curtains which are torn, ah the glamour! Not impressed I went to reception to move as I had a 7am start and had to fight to get another room. I shall be making a formal complaint to PI.

Despite asking for a quiet room the room the room that we were given was not in a quiet area as every morning we were disturbed by voices from below our room. We were not sure if our room was above the dining room but where ever we had been put it was definitely not a quiet area. Also, the house keeping seemed to have some odd behaviour when supposedly servicing our room. On our first day, we put out the "make up room" sign when we went out for the day but it was still on the door when we came back so we though the room had not been serviced but it had so why was the sign not removed from the door. The next day was the opposite. When we came back the sign had been removed but the bed was not made even though the coffees, teas etc had been done. Why on earth had the bed not been made. Not impressed with this Premium Inn and service at all.
