Old Trafford Guest House

Wasn't very clean, pillows and duvets looked old and grey, bathrooms were not very nice. Cheap and does the job, but in our opinion not worth the money we paid.

Won't stay again Location for what we needed was good but the house itself left a lot to be desired. The kitchen was too dirty to use, worktops were damaged and looked generally unkempt. The shared toilet/bathroom was in desperate need of a revamp. Most things was damaged and no toilet roll. The room itself was okay but again had damaged furniture and the overall general feel made the well worn bedding seem dirty. Even lampshade was heavily stained. The TV volume was locked to avoid disturbance to other guests. A sentiment we agree with but it was locked to such a low level we couldn't even hear it so just had the TV turned off. The house generally could do with a severe refurb.

Nothing I am absolutely disgusted in this place and the service we received. We paid for the deluxe family room, had confirmation of this paid for this and never got this. To turn up after a 5.5 hr drive to be told they gave our room to someone else that we had paid for. They tried to say we booked for 2 when I contacted and had confirmation that I had booked for 2 and 3 children and need the family room. The whole place. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE ! This place is dirty, smells of smoke and mould the mattresses are horrendously uncomfortable if we had another hotel to go to at 10pm we would have left after a 5.5 hr drive we were left with no choice and to find the room we paid for had been given to someone else. We did not sleep, you couldn't sleep it was that dirty and the noise from the traffic and the dripping tap in the kitchen it was hard to even close your eyes. We had to fit out 3 children into 1 small double bed and didn't sleep. Also the shower does not work it has been tapped together and does not work! Just avoid at all costs you couldn't pay me to stay here again. Awful experience!

DO NOT stay here!!! We had booked a double room for 4 of us and couldn’t believe what we were presented with! As soon as we walked in the room it smelt disgusting, the carpet was not connected to the floor and we tripped over it. There was mould up the walls and behind the mirrors as I imagine they’ve probably tried to cover it up, loads of old mess from other customers under the beds (crisp packets, muck, etc), no plugs sockets, the beds were slanted and uncomfortable and finally the door wasn’t locking properly from the inside. The state of the room wasn’t even the worst thing when we got back from being out for the night a man was in our shared bathroom having a shower then come out and asked what we were doing going into his room, confused I said we were booked into this room and he showed us that he had the same key for this room, weary about this I then phoned the number given to us when booking the hotel. The RUDE man on the phone then proceeded to tell us that nobody had been booked in the room other than us and that he has called the house keeper and the police. After a good hour the house keeper finally arrived and told us that they had been watching this man on the CCTV and he had been coming and going as he knows the front door code and they weren’t sure where he had got the same key for our room! As we were worried for our safety and the fact the door wasn’t locking properly but someone could easily come in if they have a key we asked the house keeper to show us how to lock the door properly. The house keeper then let us have and later checkout and said we could have a refund if we phoned back the number. As my friends went to sleep I proceeded to stay awake because of the worry of anybody coming in. Phoned the hotel back a day later and we were told that the room was a mess and that we wouldn’t be getting a refund however we had cleaned up after ourselves and I explained that a lot of the mess was already there. I repeat DO NOT waste your money and come here! Awful customer service and scruffy house, wants closing down

Not clean Cheap accommodation but you really have to consider if this is the right place for you. The pictures look reasonable but I’m reality it isn’t nice. The bedrooms stinks of cigarettes and the bed linen is so cheap and thin that it doesn’t give you confidence. Location spot on. Easy to access and plenty of parking on a game day

Shame on condition great location This accommodation would be great for me on a weekly basis as i need accommodation nearly every week for at least 3/4 days. But the bathroom sink is a safety risk and you cannot use it. The TV was fixed on a very low volume and you could not hear the tv.The room next door on Saturday night had a party from 0300 in the morning and it was still going on when i left at 0600. So I dont think I will be staying there again unfortunately
