We stayed at the Avonlea Inn for a Stratford Festival weekend. The room was clean and spacious, and the location was great (about 5 minutes from the Avon Theatre and 5 minutes from the 24-hour Cooper Lot). Check in was easy and convenient.

Lovely spacious room, well appointed with fridge and microwave and a few dishes. Accessible tv but no cable news channels other than clips through YouTube, or at least what we could figure out. Excellent location near restaurants and close to Avon Theatre. Limited help as there is no on site front desk person to for sure assist in an immediate sense, especially at night. My room did not have adequate working blinds to block out the light. However, I liked my room a lot. It was quiet and felt private. It was generally well supplied and had a nice bathroom with walk in shower that worked. It was aesthetically pleasing.

Had to hand carry luggage up 20 steep steps to room facing a noisy street with bright streetlights shining in and no blinds to block out the light. No one on site to help. A call the first night to ask for blinds to be pulled down was not answered. Second call next day was answered and resulted in the pull down of high blinds in 2 of 3 windows. Told a work order would be submitted to install blinds in 3rd window but wouldnt be fixed during our stay. This is not an inn but more a makeshift airbnb with just a couple of rooms.

The location was excellent and the room was large, a king size bed would have been better in that space. It was a tough hike up 2 flights of stairs with our bags.The codes to the place and the room were a bit confusing until I figured out what button to press after.
The room was cold, heat didn’t work and there was no soap in the shower. But we had a great time in Stratford

Perfect location. Modern updated bathroom. Plenty of bathroom towels& toiletries. A written instruction guide for use of tv & ac would have been helpful as could not figure out either one. Access to rooms is via steep stairs so definitely NOT for anyone who has mobility issues. .

Stairway was not code compliant
Shag carpet was filthy
Hallways reeked of cigarette and cannibas
Poor lighting in hallways and room
No toilet paper holder/towel bar
Bathroom door couldn’t open because of floor mat
No exhaust fan in bathroom
