Beautiful exterior did not make it to the interior. Room in disrepair and could have been cleaner. Sad, we honeymooned here 21 years ago and were hoping for more.

Closet door lying on the floor, bathtub plug non-functional. Dearth of receptacles for pluging in chargers. Overall comortable and in a nice location. I will stay again.

Terrible. I am totally fine with an older hotel with dated decor as long as it’s clean. This place was filthy and falling apart. Quality is clearly not a priority. Aside from the location, there is nothing nice about this hotel.

This was our second visit to the Clarion. We will return! We visited with our 9 and 12 year old kids & stayed in the main hotel building. The room was plenty big & because it was on the 1st floor just steps from the farm. It was a "tech free" vacation for our kids (by our choice) which we really loved. There are lots of activities around Lancaster, plenty to keep all of us entertained. We even decided to extend our stay by one night, so the hotel honored our existing rate even though the added night was a Friday night stay. Most of the people we met had been going there for 20+ years, and the staff knew them by name, there are also some extended stayers as well and it was nice getting to know them!! This is a throwback fun kind of place! The breakfast was plentiful; not 5 stars, but very good and the staff was attentive. The options were truly amazing! The hostess pastries and coffee available in the breakfast room and lobby 24/7 were so appreciated! They also had Swiss rolls. They didn't have this last time! The family that manages the hotel (it is a privately owned Clarion) is EVERYWHERE and always is checking in to make sure you are okay, happy and enjoying your stay. How many places can you say that about?? Really a wonderful place We kind of felt like we were in the hotel from the movie "The Shining" but that added to the vibe. One day we were going to Dutch Wonderland, they knew we would be missing breakfast and the person from the front desk (forgot his name) packed some breakfast food and entammens pastries. Great service. We will definitely return, and hope to return with friends who have been there before because we think it would be even more fun.

Room had roaches. There was roaches in the fridge. Room was not cleaned. Customer service is severely lacking. This was my fourth visit and this was the absolute worst! Table and chair had left over food on it. I wiped it down thinking nothing of it. Roach comes walking on the table. Then there was one in the bathroom. Span of 2 hours I found 5 roaches not including the 3 dead ones in the fridge. Moved me to another room and found another roach. The entire place is in serious need of a total renovation or at an extermination. They are lucky they haven’t had a fire yet due to their surge protector overload. (Noticed for the first time moving the table). This saddens me because I like going there. I enjoyed the peace and quiet and visiting the Amish community. Improvements can and should be made. Without customers they are out of business.

Absolutely disgusting and filthy. We booked a two night stay and forfeited the second night because it was so gross and the smell so bad. Walks and carpet were filthy and stained. The shower stall had a two inch ring of mildew/mold around the seam. The cover was laying on the floor from the ac/heat vent and the coils were full of dirt and dust bunnies. The exterior doors are not secured so anyone can walk in. Front desk staff were useless. Had to wait 20 minutes at check in for someone to appear in the lobby, and when he did, he was very rude. Provided no information about the hotel, amenities or policies. Clarion should be ashamed to have this facility associated with their brand.

The property needed a major upgrade! Cleaning staff did not do a good job. Food was still left in the refrigerator from previous staff. Dust was thick on furniture and looked like needed major repairs. No elevator.

ABSOLUTE DISASTER! Hotel with multiple buildings at least 60 years old and they totally look it. This hotel needs to be shutdown and razed. The front desk and management couldn’t care less. We went for one night for a wedding next door at the Willows. If we could have gotten a room elsewhere for the same night, we would have left in a heartbeat. We went to three different rooms here to try and find one decent. We took the best of the worst. Here’s just some of the sad details: door lock took 5 minutes to open each time, air conditioner and room smell of mildew, one of the two queen beds was full of hairs, bath towels had hairs and stains, bath tub floor gross, bath would take 10 minutes to drain between showers, spiders and ants on walls, furnishings in disrepair and dirty, in room safe inoperable, mirrors dirty, mattresses need replacing, alarm clock filthy and couldn’t be reset for correct time, breakfast options terrible, juice machine not working, breakfast area outdated, front door broken at lock, door and walls filthy. We deserve a total refund. If they paid me I wouldn’t stay here again. If history is any indication, management will say they’re sorry and it’s not up to their standard. Wrong, this is absolutely their standard. Two other guests I met in lobby were also complaining of their rooms. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever experienced in a half century. If you stay here, you deserve it. Save yourself and your health and stay elsewhere. See just some of the photos I took for confirmation.
