This is a fantastic place to stay. The owners are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious. It is nicely decorated, very clean, and very comfortable. It's a great place from which to explore the area or to stay before taking off on the ferry. I highly recommend Lakeview Guest House!

Absolutely perfect, beautiful clean and cosy rooms, lovely view over the harbour and park. excellent friendly hosts, lovely welcome attentive without being intrusive, lovely breakfast, I would recommend anyone to stay here. 10 out of 10 +++

Wonderful stay, perfect stopover for the ferry to Belfast. We stayed in the family room with 1 double and 2 singles, spacious enough for 2 older kids. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and could pre order exactly what you wanted for breakfast.

We are here right now and I’m can’t say enough good things about the pace. From all the lovely personal touches in the 2 rooms that we have (which are beautifully clean and well presented) to the lovely host, who is incredibly welcoming and has given us some great suggestions for paces to eat. Breakfast was lovely, and the parking is so easy (either right outside or across the road in the car park), I thoroughly recommend Lakeview Guesthouse, it truly is a hidden gem! 5 stars all the way! *****

The guest house is lovely and comfortable with nice little extras. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and freshly cooked and the hosts very pleasant with great tips for where to visit and eat. It is well placed for the town and access routes.

This was an excellent location to the ferry to Belfast which we were taking. There were several restaurants nearby. The owner, Elaine, made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. Because we were leaving before the free breakfast, Elaine left us food and coffee, tea etc. to make our own in her kitchen. The prices were very reasonable. the only downside was there is no lift, which is common in a guest house.

We had a very friendly welcome from the owner who went out of her way to be helpful. Great storage for our bikes. Our room was small and compact but was fine for a night. We had the use of a little sitting room for our group which worked well. Some of our group also appreciated the nightcap in the room. Breakfast was very well organised. Good porridge and a good choice of cooked breakfast. Good place to stay for cyclists.

There is a free car park opposite but also street parking right outside if there is room. Our room wasn’t huge but it served our purpose and was comfortable. Our host was most pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were very good too, with enough to last the day.

We chose this bed and breakfast for an overnight stay before catching the midday ferry to Ireland the next day. We found our room to be both comfortable and relaxing and for Elaine’s hospitality to be at the pinnacle of her profession. In fact the next time we go to Ireland we plan to spend more time at Lakeview and definitely try the haggis option on their breakfast menu,
