Clearly experienced hosts. Everything well thought out and very comfortable. Great breakfast. Décor and shower were fab. We had 2 rooms which were slightly separate from the others and had a door separating them from the rest of the house. Perfect for our family. Quiet and a very convenient location. Free parking outside. Loved the special touches of Tunnock's Teacakes and a wee dream of whisky in the room for us!

My friend and I booked this accommodation well in advance for the Skiffie Worlds 2025 and let me tell you we lucked out with this one! Elaine and Alan are genuinely brilliant hosts, they’re so accommodating and helpful. Our rooms were luxurious, with comfy beds and they were spotlessly clean too. There was good variety on the breakfast menu to cater for different tastes and the food was lovely too. Thanks for a memorable stay Elaine and Alan. I don’t often write reviews but I felt I had to on this occasion. If I’m ever in Stranraer again, your B&B is my first port of call. Hopefully see you in 2028 for Skiffies again! Gillian (Rm 2)

Best b&b we have stayed at (and we tour a lot). Beautiful room (well, suite) room 5. Views of the harbour, comfy bed, fridge with fresh milk and water. Plenty tea and coffee. Lovely shower. We had a walk to henrys restaurant last night, the walk along sea front v enjoyable. Will definitely return.

What a gem! I stayed in Stranraer to visit Agnew Parkrun and stayed at Lakeview Guesthouse. The accommodation and facilities are fantastic and Elaine and Alan could not be better hosts! From helping me with travel arrangements to providing an early breakfast to allow me to get to the run they could not have been more helpful. For anyone planning to run at this Parkrun (which is a lovely course with wonderful volunteers) this is the place to stay, only 1min walk to the start! For anyone else staying in Stranraer, look no further, Lakeview is perfect!

I really wanted to give this place a good review but I just can't. There were issues from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. First the wifif didn't work. Had to contact about that. Shower burned me and froze By the owners admission I was put the most used room. Tv didn't work properly Remote didn't work properly Light on the mirror didn't work The spirit next to bed was good idea unless you are an alcoholic. When I tried to address these issues it was made out that I was somehow to blame

Lovely little guest house
Easy to find and park. Comfortable warm rooms with good wifi. And most important - great breakfast! Elaine was a great host.
