Courtyard Gettysburg

The hotel was clean and pleasant if a bit empty in the middle of the summer. It would be better if they offered a free breakfast

Visited Gettysburg National Park & Battlefield this week which was wonderful but can’t say the same for this hotel. Most everything with the room was a problem. The air thermostat did not work properly. The shower tub wasn’t clean and the shower head did not work properly.Shower curtain was also too small for the tub letting water spray onto the floor.The mini- fridge wasn’t working at all and was totally hot. The room carpet also needed a cleaning and the bright blue light on the poorly functioning thermostat was directly in front of the bed lighting up the room. Given we’re Marriott folks and have stayed in a zillon Marriott’s this was very disappointing. Won’t be back to this Courtyard!

Everything was great, only a minor issue, the pull out sofa bed had no linens in the room, and when we asked for blankets and linens for the bed, they gave us only sheets. Front desk helped us, but seemed more annoyed that she had to help. We were told there were meal vouchers that we read about online, and we asked about them- which she did give us and we are thankful for, but she said “technically I shouldn’t even be giving you these.” Okay, no problem, we aren’t trying to push or ask for anything we aren’t supposed to have, we were simply inquiring based on what we read, but ended up feeling like we were being scolded for asking. Other than that 10 minutes of whatever inconvenience we seemed to have caused the front desk at 9pm when no one was around and it wasn’t busy at all, everything else was very nice, and clean!

A quick stopover in Gettysburg to break up a lengthy drive. This hotel is unremarkable but fine. It is located in an odd “Gettysburg Gateway” complex that includes another hotel or two, what appeared to be an abandoned (?) movie theater, and a diner. It’s a few miles from the quaint and picturesque “downtown” where the lodging appears more B&B or independent / motel style. Also only a few miles from the national park and battlefield sites. The lobby area was attractive and cozy but we spent no time there owing to no free breakfast. The room was basic, perhaps a touch tired / dated (bathroom especially) but clean and functional. Walls and doors seemed a bit thin - could hear hallway convos and next door sneezes with no trouble. But again, generally fine and the price was right for less than 24 hours on site.

Clean quiet room. Friendly service and helpful in finding just the right tour and restaurants. Highly recommend this place to stay.

We had a very lovely overnight stay and we had a pleasant meal at the Bistro. The room was extremely comfortable and we would definitely stay again in the future.
