Hilton Garden Inn Gettysburg

On July 26, I had a surprise retirement/birthday party in the ballroom, for my husband, Jeff. Taylor Itterly organized the event, along with Sabrina and Maggie! The room was beautiful, they did an excellent job decorating the room, it was perfect! They had a buffet all set up, took care of everything. Christy was our bartender and did a wonderful job! They had Jeff’s favorite music playing in the background. They had corn hole boards set up outside along with 2 decorated hightop tables for anybody to go outside. They had a trivia game about Jeff. Everything was perfect. They took care of everything so I didn’t have any worries! They also had luxury rooms for our guest that traveled more than an hour. Guests stayed for a couple days because they wanted to see the iconic Gettysburg, like a little mini Vacay. A big shout out & special thanks to all Hilton Garden staff of Gettysburg, they made our event so Grand, Wonderful, Amazing, Spectacular, must I say more, it was EPIC! So if you’re looking for a venue or any event large or small, contact Taylor Itterly, or any of the other staff at Hilton Garden Inn in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. They will make it extra special because that’s what they do. They go out of their way to pleasure you! Thank you again Hilton Garden Inn and Gettysburg!

Good location away from the crowds about 10 minutes from Downtown. Clean and well maintained with laundry room that you can pay via an app. Didn’t eat in the restaurant as elected to order out. Easy 10-minute drive to Visitors Center. Austin at front desk was friendly and helpful.

Positives - The staff was very friendly. Negatives - The hotel was advertised as having a bar and restaurant. There is no real restaurant or bar at this hotel. There was food service if you don't mind eating in the lobby as guests are registering. Unbelievably, there is no signage to show how to access the hotel as it is accessed from a common driveway shared by a gas station and fast food restaurant (but no sign for the hotel). What are the owners of the hotel thinking? The room wasn't ready at check-in even though the hotel had only a few guests at the time. Had technicians upgrading the TV system. Couldn't that have been done after our stay? There were plenty of unoccupied rooms at the time. We stayed for three days and there was no maid service provided. We had to call the front desk to get the garbage cans emptied and to get toilet paper which was done by the person manning the front desk. It seemed like the front desk staff also doubled as the maids. Overall, the hotel is overpriced and appears to be completely mismanaged. We would never stay there again and we will probably not go to Hilton hotels anymore.
