I made a reservation in August right before school started and couldn't find a place. I was assured of the cancellation window and in that time cancelled my reservation. Even if I misunderstood and was wrong on the date, according to their website I would get 1/2 of my full payment back. Instead when I called I never got a call back. When I finally cornered the manager she talked over me and hung up on me and told me I had to send an email which I did and nobody ever replied to it. So to be clear I never stayed there, cancelled 8 days prior to the stay and was charged full price. Think carefully if this is really a place with which you want to do business. Still might report them to the BBB.

Only thing I was thinking is to make sure that you disclose the variable room sizes and ammenities. It was a random selection process and I eneded up with a fairly small room with low ceilings. At 6'3" and not skinny, I felt a little oversized for the room compared to the rooms my travel mates were in. But overally it still worked and didn't spend much time in there.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Property is clean but clearly needs some general upkeeping that has not been done in quite some time. Curtains were falling off hooks, paint was chipping and lock on our door was very tricky to lock.

We came The Stowehoff on our honeymoon 25 years ago, and returned for our silver celebration. We love the slightly rustic elegance - a “not too big, not too small” inn than calms, welcomes and envelopes with the warmth of spatial wisdom. It’s hard not to feel settled and “at home” here. Beautiful and well-kept grounds and rare views. The only thing that diminished our stay was the news that the inn has been sold and will be closing in a month. Shame on the new owners for their apparent blindness or disregard for this gem. We would eagerly and affectionately return, but…

No sirven cena. Deberían buscar inversores para hacer un refresh al hotel.

We came to the Stowehof for my birthday trip. Traveled 6 hours, the place sits in a beautiful nook in the mountains of Vermont. Everyone is warm and friendly, they make you feel right at home. It could be a little cleaner but it didn’t ruin the experience because once we brought it to their attention they were concerned and offered to make it right. It was probably just an oversight and not a usual occurrence. Over all the place felt nice and cozy in the mountains.

No food or bar on site, in spite of website and sign out front saying otherwise. No fire pit (summer) they dress tables up and have no kitchen staff or meals onsite….felt like we were in the movie The Shining. Don’t stay here…

Great view from the pool, but this stay is not worth the cost. Appears that it was a relic of the past. Smells and feels like an old camp. Very disappointed with the facility especially for the cost. It seemed as if it was one of the old abandoned buildings that you see people explore on YouTube.

We checked in and the rooms were deplorable. There was mold everywhere. The carpets were disgusting and smelled terribly. One of the parties we were traveling with changed rooms four times. The restaurant and bar were not open. We all ended up checking out upon arrival and went to the Top Notch down the street. DO NOT STAY HERE.
