Awol Stowe

We had a wonderful stay at AWOL. We loved the design. The hot tub, cold pool and sauna were fantastic after a day of hiking. The brunch spread was impressive- so beautiful and delicious! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Vermont!

A simple and delightful hotel. We were looking for quick getaway in Stowe and AWOL was the perfect spot. They serve a great breakfast, have a sister hotel with an outdoor pool and gym, have well stocked fire pits and a hot tub. Please clean spaces, a courteous staff and cool vibe. We were near to downtown Stowe, made our way to hiking trails and swimming holes easily and even had a meal at the ski resort off season.

This review is for the restaurant only. The building is beautiful the food was dismal , The worst food I have had in a restaurant ever, really ever. We were a party of 9 that night We ordered the humus and it was the best thing on the menu. We had 4 orders of the kale soup, it came out cold and was like water with a few things pitched in. I think they added water to make more servings. We had mushroom toast and meatballs all very bland and not well prepared. But the awol flatbread was a joke. it was just bread with a hint of toppings. I am not sure if the bartender was trying to cook , but we tried to get food for 9 people , it took hours , It was unbelievable what was served and I came home and made a sandwich . I am at a loss for words how bad this was. This also cost about $300.00, A bag of pretzels and some chips would have been more tasty. This was an obvious example of some one in the kitchen who did not know what to do, and rather no not serve bad food they threw together what they could . Horrible , awful , frustrating, amateur, and a total rip off

This hotel has a wonderful location, totally on trend with interior design and the breakfast is fantastic! It’s so quaint and pretty. Stowe is a fantastic vacation spot too. We adored Sara and her helpful suggestions. Great place for 4th of July!! We watched the fireworks on the lawn.

Beautiful property with excellent amenities including a wooden hot tub, coffee and tea and an included fantastic breakfast. We thoroughly our time and will be back. The staff was friendly which for us is important. We felt relaxed and welcomed.

The king cabin was adorable and perfectly decorated. It was such a lovely place to stay for a weekend. The small private porch was wonderful to sit on at night and listen to the frogs in the pond. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was delicious. We really couldn't have asked for anything more!
