My wife and I spend two nights here on our honeymoon. Firstly, the place is excellent: the room, the breakfast, the location, the stay in total. 5/5. But more importantly, the hosts Paul and Maureen are good people. They helped us beforehand to organize the transportation from Tarbert when ferry and bus timetables didn’t match, were very considerate and helpful during our stay, and when my wife forgot her wallet there, they mailed it to the next location with haste for it to reach us before us flying away. There are all these superlatives thrown around to the point of total inflation of meaning. So pay attention when I say that this was an absolute pleasure. Paul and Maureen, we wish you the best! We had an excellent stay at Jannel Bed and Breakfast. The accommodation provided was outstanding, spotlessly clean and every detail thought through. Breakfast consisted of both self serve and freshly cooked options and we were delighted to receive a comprehensive packed breakfast on our early morning departure for the 7am ferry. Parking was easy and the loan library of maps and guides very much appreciated as well as Paul's tips for what to do and where to eat in Stornoway.

This was our second stay at Jannel, and once again it did not disappoint. The location on a quiet residential street is just a 5 min drive or 15 min walk to town with plenty of good restaurants, shops, and galleries. Paul is an excellent host, and very helpful with good advice about where to go and what to do on the Isle of Lewis and Harris. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, including a comfy bed and a nice love seat on which to sit and read or watch TV. The breakfast was delicious, with your choice of cooked, continental, or a combination of both. We would happily stay here again.

Easy to find and within walking distance of town centre and Lews Castle. We had a separate sitting area and large bedroom with ensuite. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were luxurious. Fridge, kettle, coffees, teas and shortbread biscuits were provided. Our host, Paul, was very helpful with recommending dinner spots and tourist destinations. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Also provided was a vegetarian option. Parking was available on site.

Very comfortable, clean and spacious, Hosts were very welcoming, excellent breakfast. Location was quiet and convenient, about 15 mins walk to port and castle. .................................................................
