Hotel is a bit dated internally and could do with a refresh. The staff at this hotel were excellent from the management down,good to see young people taking a pride in what they do and with a smile well done. The carvery together with five other choices was excellent and the vegetables and accompanying sauces were as good as I have had for a very long time. The soup, salad bar and the sweet counter were well stocked and what an amazing selection. Would I stay there again Definitely

We stayed here two nights on a coach trip in May 2025. Admittedly, this hotel doesn’t look much from the outside, but it’s actually really lovely. Our room was great, clean and spacious. Same with the bathroom. Hotel bar was great and not too pricey. But the food… Oh! Buffet style with lots of choices. My husband was a big fan of the carvery station! There were also lots of desserts to choose from. We would definitely stay here again, perfectly located for exploring the island.

Stayed here for one night for work. Arrived off ferry at 2030 and went straight to hotel. We had called ahead and booked dinner which was on late for ferry coming in. We were given rooms and went straight to dinner. There was a order option or a buffet style Carvery. Due to being starving we just went for carvery. Everything was hot and tasty. No complaints other than it did feel like. A school dinner hall. The room was quite a trek and very small with single bed. I'm 5ft 6 and my toes hung off bottom. It really could do with some modernisation. However there was tea and coffee and biscuits. A very old hairdryer and toiletries in room. We had an early start for work and breakfast was being served from 630 which was ideal. There was toast, cereal and cooked breakfast. Check out was 11am . Very basic but for one night you can cope.

Visited as part of a tour group. Welcoming hotel with smart and comfortable rooms. The breakfast and carvery/buffet style dinner were both very appetising and enjoyable. Well located fir walking into the main streets of Stornoway.

We stayed three nights, and I couldn't wait to check out. The rooms are average at best. Small, hot, and clean-ish, with hair in the corners of the bathroom and stains on the carpet. The staff was friendly, the location was nice, and the food was better than average ( excluding the breakfast buffet). That said, I would look for other options before booking here. I know when we return, we do not plan to stay here.

As a coach driver we never expect a great room . I have stayed in some terrible places . This is right up there with the worst . Single room is tiny . Nowhere to hang your clothes up . No wardrobe no hanging rail . Mattress is bed is like lying on springs . Traffic noise even at 22.35 is horrendous. Wonder what breakfast is like watch this space

Booked two nights but had to leave due to family illness at home to them before then on first night I was leaving at six in morning and was still charged for two nights .Didn’t even order breakfast . For a single bed in a small room I think prices are bit high

Too costly for a plain room with no windows. We paid 200 per night for a double room that is in all honesty not much better than a Travelodge. Location is good though, near the town centre and the ferry. There are rumours of a price fixing cartel in Stornoway, which would explain the high price... Can anyone confirm or deny?

On-line it costs around £200 per night to stay in this grotty place. The description states there are tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. I used the two t-bags the first day plus the two milks provided but coming in late in the second day, I found NO t-bags or milks provided. How b. tight can one get? Appalling and suggest there must be better places to stay and at lower cost. Also, you cannot open the only window more than an inch!
