The experience was very positive and the Staff as well as the accommodations made my stay very pleasant. The room was clean and the television and cable easy to use.

I didn't give it 5 stars because in the reservation we had asked for it in a non-smoking room, and although ours was one like that, it smelled absurd like cigarettes. We asked and changed our room, the second room smelled good. On the first day of breakfast the floor slice was dry and had no butter, but on the second day of breakfast it already had butter and the slice of bread was softer. The room was clean and they tidied up the room on the second day as well, changing all the towels.

Let me start with the positives. Affordable, great free breakfast with waffles, and location is ideal. It’s a great stay if you’re visiting Williamsburg and/or Busch Gardens. What could be better: the bed. It was so uncomfortable so it was hard to relax and recoup from a day full of activities. We also found large staples in the floor that we believe to be from the bed.

The room was nice and the AC was cool. The outside is old and can be updated. The kids enjoyed the pool. The elevator was spooky, but worked. They offer breakfast, but we didn't make it in time. They do have snack machines.

We found this Howard Johnsons in Williamsburg to be clean, the beds comfortable, the staff friendly and the breakfast very tasty. It is an old hotel, so if you are looking for flashy , this is not the place for you. We thought it was well worth the price!

Everything was great until we had continental breakfast in what seemed to be a sauna room because the AC was not working and a temporary AC was draining water all over the dining room and they had fans overhead were left off and it had to be over 100° in there Dining room !!!!

Great stay everything was great service was good also not to far to drive to the papermill in west point either curvy rds all was good with my stay i will definitely come back and recommend to my friends and family bed was very comfortable and room stayed chill with the nice ac unit

For all the bad reviews, we were prepared for the worst and pleasantly surprised. Our room, 119 was pristine and clean. The bedding was crisp, the mattress comfortable and no marks, stains etc. There was not a spec of dust in our room or bathroom. The breakfast is underwhelming. The indoor pool is seasonal, which is not mentioned on line, but we were not heart broken. I would stay here again for a quick trip.

Room was absolutely disgusting puke on sheets and in floor from previous guest. Roaches in the room. I would not recommend staying here. We left and went to stay somewhere else because our room was so disgusting. I've asked for a refund.....
