Howard Johnson by Wyndham Williamsburg

Let me just say that after reading the reviews, we knew it would be bad, but had no idea HOW bad it was going to be. We had no choice, as everything was booked, and we had a last-minute change that caused us to grab the rooms here. This was in October, over a 3-day weekend. Big, BIG, mistake. Next time, we will sleep in our car. Where to start....well, here you go. Outlets that were broken, wet carpets, filthy bedding, doors that look ike they belong in the city subway, and roaches. Yes, roaches. So, we slept with the bathroom light on, hoping the roaches would not come out again. Our top duvet has seen better days. Dirty and gross. The smell in the room was incredibly foul and strong. The broken faucet in the bathroom was a pain to use. Let's not mention that the bathroom counter is where the coffee machine sits. I mean, what in the .....?!! The breakfast is less than desirable, and the "staff" was unable to keep up with the number of people who showed up. Also, expired food should NEVER be offered to guests. I have visited the desk a few times, and at this point, I am unsure why no one has come to assist with the wet carpeting, broken faucet, or outlet issue, but good grief, this is unacceptable. For $200.00 a night, I expect a little better quality in a room. At least a functioning room with clean linens. The "Emergency Exit Plan" was not marked correctly, and I am sure it would not follow the fire code at all. To the kind staff who folded towels into swan figures, work somewhere else where you can shine. This place does not deserve you. Shame on the owners over at Quadrum Global for having such low standards in this industry.

The rooms smell like humendad, but everything looks clean. It must be lack of ventilation. The areas outside are clean. The pool is nice and you can rest, no scandal is heard.

You absolutely cannot beat this place for the money and the location. I stayed at another property last year in Williamsburg that was an absolute hole and cost more. This place is clean, comfortable, quiet and safe. Close to Busch Gardens and all the other tourist sites. Not a single complaint. Will stay here whenever I drive down for my coaster fix.

Great location to the Historic District, Water Country USA, and Busch Gardens. Clean rooms, breakfast, and a pool. Great value for the price!

Left a google review this place was dirty nasty mold,stained bedding, screws hanging out the bathtub ,nasty breakfast eneded up going out to breakfast dirt on floors

Smelled like smoke. Roach in the room. Old and dated. Cheap sheets and towels. Will definitely not return.
