Travelodge Stoke-on-Trent Trentham

Had a pleasant stay here last weekend. The hotel is well situated and easy to find. Nice and clean. The room we had offered a large double bed and shower in the bathroom (no bath). Soap and towels were available in our room. The car park is free and there was plenty of space the weekend we visited. There is a small picnic table area to the side so space to get out and sit outside or children play if needed, though I think this may also be where smokers went too. The Toby carvery served a good meal next door and was available for breakfast and dinner, though dinner options were naturally roasts. Bfast was either cooked/served in Toby or a breakfast box to your room. Big bonus, not having to check out until 12pm, although we had an onwards journey so left around 9am. Staff friendly and helpful.

I’ve been staying here for over five years now when I visit friends and family in Stoke. The rooms have gradually become more run down and this time felt a like bit grubby. It’s not the cleaners fault - they are lovely as are all of the staff there. It’s just age and the need for an update. The fixed slip mat had black mould marks around it. The shower was mis-matched and a bit stained (virtually no pressure either). The bath tap had really bad limescale. I didn’t want to walk in the bath or bedroom without wearing something on my feet. The rooms have deteriorated since I started to use it - please Travelodge spend some money on updating the place!!! I think it has finally slipped beyond the point that I personally find acceptable for a hotel. Again through, the staff are lovely and can only work with what they are given.

Stayed for a family occasion. Hotel well situated. Had a problem with water in bathroom being not very warm so shower on first morning not very pleasant. This was sorted though.

Although dated the twin room and hotel communal areas are clean and practical. The room was a great size and very quiet, despite overlooking the Toby Carvery garden. Great location. If you enjoy a walk you can take the canal footpath all the way to Stoke on Trent, and you can follow the road for a 20min walk to Trentham Garden Village, or the Wedgewood museum.

Me and my partner stayed here as we were off to the Alton towers reopening. Lovely hotel and all the staff we come across were brilliant. Our room was spotless could not fault the cleanliness. Cheap and cheerful place to stay, will definitely be back in the future

Clean, comfortable and cheap accomodation. Within walking distance of Trentham Estate and attached to a Toby carvery.
