Good accommodation for exploring the south hams Great place to stay close to Dartmouth and the coastal path. Very comfortable bed with new white linen. Hot powerful shower. Would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. We were a couple with a dog and was made to feel very welcome. As we had a dog we had a table made up for us for breakfast in the bar area with a lovely view out of the doors and over looking the sea view. The food was fabulous with a great choice for breakfast. Our room was great also with a sea view. Overall a great week away with our dog, and the staff and owners couldn't have been nicer.

After an initial mistake with our booking which was my mistake, we eventually got to enjoy 2 out of our 3 night booking. I'm so glad we did, it was our 28th wedding anniversary and we had such a lovely time. The outdoor pool was a real bonus for me. Great being so close to Dartmouth and Slapton, both places we love. All the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Great stay Hotel was a brilliant base for a short stay to visit family. Very evident that the owners have spent a considerable sum upgrading the hotel, in areas its modern clean and finished to a lovely standard. Some retro features like our room door lock still remain but ultimately don’t matter. Great staff, great breakfast each morning. Look forward to returning in the summer!

Lovely staff and a real striving for excellence. Beautiful location and a feeling that the owners really want to make their hotel something special. Great breakfast. Lovely pool. Our kids were very happy.

Easy to book - staff were very helpful on the phone. They warned us not to follow sat nav taking us down Venn Lane when arriving, for which we are very grateful. Pictures look great, and the reality is great too. We were delighted to be greeted by friendly staff on arrival, and see that the hotel was well-kept and beautiful. The setting is so pretty - on a slight hill with sea views and nestled amongst pretty Monterey pines and other foliage. We had one of the most peaceful nights’ rest we have ever had in a hotel. Pillows and bed were perfect - sheets soft; temperature perfect in the room. We loved using the games room in the basement to play pool and darts. There is even a heated, indoor pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the pool, as there was a children’s swim class going on on Saturday morning. This was our only disappointment with the hotel. Overall, it was a fantastic find, and it is great value for money. It is wonderful to know that there are still family-run places like this, so well-kept and still affordable for families.
