Before you book, pls be aware all the rooms in this hotel without window except suite room which only 2 units available. Good location, easy access to the Slussen Metro esp with big luggage.Since it is newly built building, the condition is very new. But the drainage in the shower room was bad designed, flooding when showering. Even after complaints to the host counter, they also cnt improve the situation. So the toilet floor always wet. There only 4 levels which I stay at basement. Bring your only toiletries as only basic soap provided. Self check in & check out. This is a new concept basic or budget hotel which they hv common area. I saw many guests use this place as co-working space too. No restaurant in this hotel so no breakfast provided. Only have vending machine and laundry room.
Overall lovely location and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great. Where they lost points was because there were a lot of spiders present. If travellers are okay with that then it’s fine - I unfortunately don’t want one crawling on me at night. I killed some in my room and at night and i was on edge for a bit. I went to reception and they said no other room was available. They provided me with a spray but mentioned it was strong and I would have to stay out for a little bit before I could return.
The following morning staff came to clean the room and found nothing, but then when I went back there were more spiders. When I spoke to management they just said that there are spiders here and they do their best to clean and that there was nothing else they could do for me. I told them at check out that the spider issue did dampen my experience - and the manager was okay with that.
It is about a 5-minute walk from tram No. 30 or bus No. 74, which is quite convenient. You can then take tram No. 17, 18, or 19 to get to Central Station or Lao Chen. In short, it takes about half an hour from the hotel to the city center. I recommend that you buy an S L one-day or three-day transportation ticket, which is quite cost-effective to stay here.
The hotel has all the basic facilities, including a washing machine, microwave, coffee machine, some pots and pans, and wine glasses, but no toaster, kitchen paper towels, or laundry detergent (you have to buy laundry detergent from the vending machine on the first floor, it's 15KR a bag, it's not expensive, but if it's so cheap why don't they just put it in the hotel? You buy a bag downstairs and use less than half a bag for washing clothes once, you can't use it up at all, and it's a waste to throw away the rest. It's troublesome for travelers to carry a bag of laundry detergent with them when traveling because they are afraid it will spill). In addition, the dryer didn't seem to be very useful. The clothes were still wet after more than two hours of drying. In short, if you come here just for the washing machine, don't consider it. In addition, the facilities and supplies in the room are a little bit old, and the bathroom only provides ordinary shower gel that can be used to wash hair and body, and there is no conditioner. The hair dryer is also a small one.
However, there are large supermarkets such as COOP and Lidl next to the bus station. There is also a store selling many kinds of alcohol and a burger and fried chicken restaurant that is open until late. The space in the room is not small and the soundproofing is acceptable. Overall, it is an option worth considering.
We couldn’t have picked a better hotel for our quick vacation in Stockholm this April 2024. Motel L is stylish, reasonably priced and conveniently located. Upon entering the hotel, we were impressed by the contemporary design of the lobby and the carpeted floors. Our check in experience was a breeze. At 15 sqm, our room was on the small side but it was never lacking in style – there were two comfortable Carpe Diem beds and a rainshower in the bathroom. The soundproofing was also excellent affording us two restful nights.
The location is unbeatable – there’s a coffeeshop (Espresso House) and a supermarket (ICA Supermarket) right next door. And the Martensdal tram station is just literally outside the hotel, like less than 50 steps away. It usually took us 20-30 minutes to get to T-Centralen.
We were very pleased with Motel L and would never hesitate to come back here. Also worth mentioning are the warm and friendly staff. Shout out to May who really charmed us with her personality during our stay!
My room was on the first floor. If I opened my window everyone on the street could see inside. The hotel gave me the handicap room. So I guess its nice that the accommodate you people that have special room needs. Besides that, everything else was good.
Ganz tolles Hotel!
Came to the first hotel in Sweden, the first impression is very good! Hotel check-in in the afternoon, not in advance. But the front desk service is good! There are also free fruits, drinks and snacks. The surroundings of the hotel are a bit far from the scenic spots, 2-3km away from the old city, the hotel has a kitchen, and there are supermarkets around, so you can cook your own meals easily!

GGuest UserWarm and friendly staff especially Isaac who tried to accommodate our request on the choice of room. Very helpful and we felt welcome to the hotel. They also provide free tea and coffee. Overall a warm and cosy room.
