The first hotel in Sweden and one of the most comfortable hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel is opposite the old town, and many places can be reached almost on foot. The hotel as a whole is very beautiful. Whether it is the lobby, restaurant or rooms, they all reveal the inspiration of the designer and the seriousness of the manager. Pictures, books, furnishings and furniture are all very beautiful and exquisite. The beautiful and handsome man at the front desk was very enthusiastic. We were disappointed that we could not get the temperature in the room to a cool level. We appreciate that it was an unseasonably warm week and staff provided us with a fan, however the air conditioning is simply not sufficient for this expensive of a hotel. We did not sleep well the first few nights after our flights from America, which was not a good way to start the trip. Other than that, the breakfasts were outstanding and everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.

Every aspect of our visit was wonderful! The staff was courteous, outgoing and always helpful. Our room was divine! We loved the vibe of the hotel and the photography. Location was great! We enjoyed lunch on the second floor - food delicious. The only criticism we would make was breakfast. The fruit selection was the same every day and not too inspiring.

Lydmar is one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of booking. Their attention to detail is second to none. The receptionists were not only warmly welcoming but eager to help in any way. They expertly gave me recommendations and directions, offered to get a cab and carried my luggage to the cab too. My room was a decent size, impeccably clean. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bathroom as it was way bigger than European standards. Breakfast was great and dinner was sublime. The hotel's location was perfect as all the major sights were walking distance from the hotel. I can't find a single flaw from my stay, Lydmar was just perfect!!

We had an amazing stay. Lydmar is cozy and the the staff is fantastic! Be sure not to miss the afternoons on the patio when the sun is out. It has a great view of the royal castle and the opera house The breakfast buffet was also great with a great variety to choose. from.

What a terrific experience, from the incredibly attentive and knowledgable staff, to the funky decor, to the overall vibe that this is an intimate-but-happening boutique hotel. A true gem for both locals and international visitors, and the location can't be beat.
