Miss Clara by Nobis, Stockholm, a Member of Design Hotels™

We recently stayed with you and wanted to thank you for a truly enjoyable experience. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team was consistently friendly, helpful, and professional, which made us feel very welcome. We also appreciated the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Breakfast, although fairly consistent in selection, was made thoroughly enjoyable by the elegant and cosy setting. Dinner at your pizza restaurant was also a lovely treat. We did, however, wish to mention a small detail regarding housekeeping. A kettle provided in the room had not been properly cleaned, with visible residue on the rim. Additionally, our used glasses were removed but not replaced. On one day, we followed the towel policy by placing just one towel on the floor for replacement, yet it was not replenished, while the towel we left hanging remained. These are minor matters, but we thought they were worth sharing. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time at Miss Clara. The design, location, and atmosphere were exceptional, and we would be delighted to return in the future.

I am an avid reader of Trip Advisor when making decisions on where to stay, usually your readers get it right. However, sometimes the reviews need a warning. As a Marriott Platinum member and a senior citizen, here is what you need to know. 1. Don't take a room on the top floor. The front desk tried to sell it as the penthouse, but really it feels like old servant rooms. No air-conditioner makes these rooms a hot box in the summer. They are the size of a closet. 2. No breakfast or amenity. Usually Platinum members get free breakfast or an amenity. Instead I was offered breakfast at a reduced price of US$25 per day 3. After complaining, they moved me to an interior room. These rooms look directly into an office building where everyone working can see directly into my room. There was no privacy (sere photo) 4. The location is great and the staff always smiles.

Just outside the central business/shopping area but with public transport within 1 block is the charming and intimate Miss Clara. The staff are welcoming & always helpful and the breakfast was a great way to start each day. I had a corner room and loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Will go back again. BTW - you can earn points on Marriott’s Bonvoy and is also part of the Design Hotel Group

I tend to like older, restored hotels versus the chains; however, I was disappointed with Miss Clara in Stockholm. Upon checking in, a room was not ready which was understandable as I checkin in during the morning. I left my luggage with the front desk clerk. Do you think that the staff would have transported the luggage to my room when it became available? No, they did not. Nor did they offer to assist me with my luggage when I returned to the hotel in late afternoon. Now I am able to help myself but suppose that I needed support due to a disability or being elderly? After a full day of sightseeing in Stockholm, no one at the front desk offered me a beverage nor a fresh towel to freshen my face or hands. I had to check in, read disclaimer after disclaimer then sign away my rights. Only then was I given access to my room. And my room? It was a room that would have housed a monk or nun. I don't mind a small room as I was solo but for $261 USD? The room size was ridiculous for the price. There was no closet to place your clothes. There was not even a chair to sit on. And the shower was small and allowed water to escape to the floor outside. The only redeeming feature of the hotel is the breakfast which was filled with fresh waffles, freshly baked breads, eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, juices and coffee/tea. And the departure? A payment transaction only. No offer of assistance with say a taxi to my next destination. No care at all what happened to the customer next. I know this is 2025 and the era of non-personalized experiences but for $261 USD for one night in an inferior room? Would I return and stay at Miss Clara in Stockholm? Probably not. Would I recommend it to others? No.

Marriott’s Design Hotels are a consistent source of wonder for me. Why would they put the toilet where the closet would normally be, and then have no place beyond pegs on the wall to hang anything? Why would the shower and sink (both somewhat small) and the tub (oversized) be placed in a separate room around the corner from the toilet closet? And why would there be the backrest of a chair attached to the floor of the bed (single backrest on double bed)? Apparently, all elements of the design. With that said, the staff was wonderfully hospitable, offering proven suggestions and helpful assistance. The included breakfast was more than ample and served in a bright dining room. A good option for Stockholm.

Outstanding service in the reception and in the restaurant. Kind and caring staff. Beautiful rooms with super nice bathrooms. Excellent breakfast and high quality overall. Good location in Stockholm. Thank you so much! I felt like a Princess.
