We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our weekend in Stockholm. Very charming place, the building offers a splendid view of the water and the city. We were apprehensive about the bathroom being shared, but ultimately it wasn't a problem. There were 3 bathrooms for 5 bedrooms and they were very clean. Special mention for breakfast: Incredible. There was something for everyone, including savory salmon and scrambled eggs, and many sweet home-made cakes. We will return to this establishment during our next trip to Stockholm!

Booked by daughter as a special birthday and anniversary present. Great location, only few stops from city centre, helpful staff and good value for money. Up a hill with fantastic views over Stockholm, lots of character and good breakfast. Lots of vegan breakfast options for me.

Quite a large room with a couch and armchair. Overall the hotel is quite quiet, apart from the street noise towards Södermalm. The hotel is picturesque, but you should find out about access to the city beforehand. Long walk to the boat or over the bridge. There is only one parking space at the hotel!! Quite simple breakfast.

Ersta Hotell & Konferens is quite hard to describe; it doesn’t feel like a hotel, nor does it feel like a hostel. It does, however, feel a bit institutionalised. The twin room was very basic. No ensuite, but three WC/shower rooms to share between five rooms. But this was absolutely fine for us for an overnight stay. Excellent price, great breakfast, friendly reception (early check in/luggage storage), and good location close to everything Södermalm has to offer.

We booked Erstahotell because it was a very good price and the location wasn't too far from Stockholm centre. The hotel is set within a church charity complex by a school, hospital and church. The reception was closed when we arrived, but they had sent instructions to get the key etc. which was very helpful. We had a twin room with a seaview, which was very nice. The room was quite small for two people, but we didn't spend much time there, so it was fine. It had a hairdryer, mirror and shoehorn - we didn't use any of them, but it was good they were offered. The breakfast was really good, with a large selection of meats, cheese, fruit, cereal and drinks. The room was cleaned every day and the beds were made, which was great. The toilets and kitchenette were communal, but we had no issue with this as there were enough for the whole corridor. The place is also a conference centre and sometimes there were meetings going on, but this didn't interfere with us. There are also a few people who live on site, but again, they were all friendly. The whole hotel has lots of religious items, reflecting it's past and present and has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere - I would suggest that it wouldn't be a place to stay if you are a or lively loud group. The price was very good for two people for 4 nights and I would definitely stay again if in Stockholm.

Small, beautiful and welcoming with spectacular views. A super luxury two-star hotel with a family and hospitable environment. Very clean shared bathrooms and very good value for money. Excellent breakfast.

I needed a hotel in Stockholm close to the Viking Line ferry dock that leaves for Aland, which is why I chose the Ersta which is located inside a former convent. The palace is very beautiful as are the surroundings. From here you have a beautiful view of the city. The room is basic, the bathroom is not comfortable. Good breakfast.
