Honestly I hesitate to write the review as I want to stay here.again
I stay in hotels 120 nights scyear and so often quality does not match price.
This is a fantastic hotel pub
Fantastic room great breakfast excellent value
I ll be back
I stay in 4 and 5 star hotels which are so bad this is a gem.

We had a lovely stay at the White Hart…room was very nice, staff and food very good. Would stay again…also Stockbridge is one of our favourite places.

We went to The White Heart for an evening meal. We received a warm welcome, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. From where I was sat I was looking out of the window into the ancient Graveyard next door which was unusual!

Our tour of Coopersmith's Kent/Sussex Great Houses & Gardens had us stop here for lunch, and it was a pleasant time for our group. I couldn't eat 90% of the food on the menu, but appreciated the detailed allergen information on what I could, and the wine.

First - and important - the staff were great. Otherwise this stay was really disappointing. We had one of the old rooms in the main inn, and whilst comfortable and historically quaint, the bathroom had the aroma of French drains. The menu our group was offered was very restricted and unimaginative. The bar prices are absurd. Over £14 for a GLASS of a very mediocre red wine. Overall this is not somewhere I would choose to return to

Overnight stay Easter weekend We stayed in lovely room overlooking car park in the annexe adjacent to the pub, which was a bit small but efficient.Room had toiletries hairdryer tea and coffee &biscuits !!! We booked meal for the evening as Easter but were given a lovely 6 seated table just for us two!!!! Staff very efficient and friendly . Enjoyed lovely roast dinner and pudding which was very well presented and reasonable price . We enjoyed Stockbridge in general as a lovely little village and would stay here again as it served our requirements.

The food was good with excellent vegetarian options. Although the room was on the small side, it was still comfortable. Most (if not all) of the rooms are in buildings behind the main pub and are situated in either ex- stables or newer buildings in the style of stables. We took part in the pub quiz that occurs on the last Thursday of the month. We did not win.

Extremely disappointed with the food and service There was 3 of us My chips ( very small portion) were cold so I sent them back The 3 meals were delivered at 3 different times spamming best part of 4 minutes When I asked for some sauces they also took a time to arrive. Surely the sauces should be there when the food arrives My Wife’s dinner was particularly poor with the Burger Cheese solid from I presume sitting under a heated lamp The additional £2.50 for a slice of rock hard Bacon was the last straw which was not edible. Could not wait to leave In a nutshell, overpriced especially for the quality and portion size and would not recommend. Will certainly not return On a positive note the young people serving us done their best Certainly not their fault the management oversee serving of poor food
