Lovely relaxing hotel and location. Our room (Osprey) was spacious, had great views and had the comfiest bed. Bathroom a bit tired but fully functional. Jamie served us in the restaurant several times and was a credit to the hotel. He was helpful, polite and went the extra mile. Thank you to all the staff.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. We were made so welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautiful and had a stunning view over the lake. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast here and couldn’t fault it at all. We had a few drinks in the bar and both Erin and Tia looked after us so well. Such a beautiful place for a relaxing night away. We will definitely be back !

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the hotel during their Festive Week celebrations. From wine and cheese evening on Monday, live music on Christmas Eve, a fabulous Christmas day lunch to Boxing Day brunch, I thoroughly enjoyed my solo stay-cation.  The location: Nothing can beat having my breakfast with a view of the lake. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be during the summer months. The food: Every single meal I had was cooked to perfection. Breakfast - Eggs Royale, Scrambled Eggs with Salmon Dinner - Cullen Skink Risotto and Scallops, Haggis, neeps and tatties with whiskey sauce Brunch - Grilled halloumi, avocado and poached egg on a sourdough toast. The poached eggs with a jammy centre really scored extra points since I am personally not a fan of a runny centre. The cullen skink risotto was a first for me and I would go back for seconds if i could. The Haggis with the whiskey sauce was my favourite and I did go back for seconds. No pictures since I was too busy enjoying it. And finally the Christmas lunch: ham hock terrine for starters, a full roast for the mains and sticky toffee pudding for the dessert. Chefs Joe and Paul truly outdid themselves with this one. I am still dreaming about the gravy.  The service: Now this is my second visit to this hotel and I was delighted to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones. I must start with Millie at the reception, who was patient with all my concerns and queries prior to my stay and after I was shown to my room. Other special shootouts: Nicola for breakfast service, Erin, Chantelle, Catherine and Bryony at the bar. Noteworthy mention: Aindi for holding down the fort on his own on Christmas evening and supplying us with wonderful cocktails. Even ones that weren't on the menu.  And last but never the least, Chris and Blue from guest relations, thanks for making sure this solo traveller never felt lonely. The entire restaurant and bar staff did an incredible job making sure that the service was running smoothly even during the busiest hours.

We stayed at Karma Lake of Menteith for a week in January and loved it. It's in the tiny little Scottish Highlands town of Port of Menteith and is a beautiful old coverted mansion/manor built in the late 1800's. Our room was lakefront with an unbeatable view and the breakfast room/restaurant is also. Staff were wonderful and efficient, very welcoming and helpful in giving us information about things to do locally as well as the best way of getting to surrounding towns and cities (eg some you're best to drive to, some you should park in the bigger town nearby then catch the train etc). The hotel has a log fire in its warm and inviting bar and is also pet friendly. There's a games room also. This was great place to go to relax after a few hectic weeks running around Europe but was close enough to nearby towns etc that there was plenty to do if you felt like getting out and about. It's about an hour's drive from Glasgow airport. We very much enjoyed staying here and are likely to return another time to experience it and the surrounding area in a warmer season.

Our stay was incredible. Enjoyed the whiskey Malt vault nice concept. Very relaxing place and food choices were excellent. Staff was friendly and games room was absolutely fun time with family. The property needs some modernization keeping it's authenticity. Over all amazing place.

We have been here many times as a couple and would say it was a favourite of ours , the view itself is stunning , so we were treating our family to a Christmas lunch but were extremely disappointed with the service for our party of 8. Food was average and pricey, 3 smallish scallops for £14.95. Service of main meals was poor, meals were served with a delay for some members who had ordered curry ' we're waiting on the rice cooking' was the waitresses comment, the other diners had to start without them as their food was getting cold. The curry of the day, when it did arrive was very disappointing. The roast of the day was venison which was very good. They seemed to be short staffed as the waitress seemed to be on her own and did make every effort to please.

It is a stunning setting with glorious views from the restaurant but we weren’t allowed to sit there even although it was far from full. We were pointed to a table in the bar area instead. Service was disorganised (4 different people served us) and lacklustre… no engagement including on arrival or on leaving but it was the food that was the biggest disappointment ..a tough inedible over microwaved cherry scone, a very small serving of shakshuka and a pancake “stack” 2 pancakes high with a few rasps and blueberries. The latter cost £13!

The hotel is set in a beautiful surroundings, on one side a lake and the other in between hills . Everyone made us feel welcome. It’s clean and well furnished. It’s was very cold -9’ on a couple of days, and foggy but that just made it more magical, The Icicles , well that just made it for me . Never seen such pretty formed icicles. The bed room was well furnished and equipped. The bed was just how we like it, not too firm but supportive, pillows lovely and fluffy. We had a dressing room and a bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubical . We felt very comfortable there, enjoyed our 2week stay. There’s a games room, darts, pool, cards, jenga which we had so much fun with , record player , a lovely hidden room . The staff are all professional and very welcoming, always smiling and have time to say hello . Meals were well presented, tasted delicious, restaurant looked out over the lake , stunning views. There was an open fire in the bar , fabulous. . Will definitely be back . There’s so much to explore in the area .
