Very bad reception at that of Aberfoyle!!!
-Reception: After driving several hours to get to the hotel we only wanted to eat and relax.
We arrive to check in and the receptionist Emilia tells us 5 minutes I'll be there! (no hello, please or other polite wording!) She arrives after 15 minutes!!!!!! without apologizing and speaks to us very curtly (we realize that she is not happy at all) we ask her for breakfast hours, she answers us uh, first I must have your visa card. (still in a really not cool tone at all). she checks us in by slamming the keys and our cards roughly on the counter,
-Restaurant: The waiters were not friendly either, no hello, the meal was really of poor quality, I find that so shameful for a normally 4* hotel!!! During our stay, we visited several hotels and b&bs and I assure you that we were received simply but so warmly and the quality of the products was excellent. What a contrast! We who are so delighted to come to this hotel given the amenities and the setting; I will definitely not come back there again and I will not recommend it!
-Breakfast: The next day when you woke up, another great disappointment, how can I tell you that it was empty.
Personally I find that what best defines this hotel is the appearance. At first glance it's very pretty, the setting is green, the interior is very elegant. The rooms are spacious but that's it.
-The hygiene of the room was fair.

The hotel is disgusting. We were planned to stay there for 4 nights from Aug 22 but finally we stayed 1 night then moved to another hotel.
There are no reception service to check in, we were waited for 30 mins and end up 1 staff came to argue with us to say we just waited for 10 mins.
No lift, need to carry the luggage ourselves.
No heater for cold weather. Think about if in winter there are no heater, you will be freezing in the room and no one will coming to help you.
The waiter drop the food up of my clothes when serving. No apologies AT ALL.
Can’t request what’s the food you going to have. It’s all based on the waiters recommendations.
No wifi service until we paid 10 pound to the young boy in restaurant to help to set up for us.
The room had insects.
Facilities broken.
Door without lock etc…

Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel & Spa Kinlochard Waiting staff throwing pens and disabled insults 1021085487 This is a great hotel set in a spectacular location but this is the only time that great can be used to describe this sham of a hotel. Upon entry, we parked in a blue badge space and used the accessible entrance. This was not accessible as there were lots of steps - when we asked if this was the correct route - we were informed yes as they get a ramp out for wheelchairs for disabled people. Never mind if you are blind, have mobility difficulties etc - just a wheelchair. Complete and utter lack of understanding of disabilities! Upon check-in, we paid an additional £70 to upgrade to a suite as we needed a shower only due to accessibility requirements, which we were happy to do so. I explained that I had a blue badge and struggle to walk distances, as well as struggling to hold luggage due to having one hand. NOT ONE OFFER OF LUGGAGE ASSISTANCE! We were informed that we needed to lug the suitcases up two flights of stairs, but we could rest on the first landing!!! AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! Please do not expect any type of service at all! This is not the hotel for service. After dragging suitcases to our ‘suite’, and needing an hour to recuperate, we mistakenly presumed we were heading to a restaurant that would immerse us in Scottish cuisine and service. Oh how mistaken we were! The menu itself does not even include Scottish dishes, apart from Cullen Skink. I ordered this - oh what a mistake this was! It was luke warm, bordering on cold and the best feature was not a soup spoon in sight! My friend ordered the steak - don’t bother - the expectation is that you just eat it cave-man style - no steak knife - nothing! Then we head to the most ludicrous, fawlty towers experience I have ever encountered in my life! To be fair, our experience in the restaurant the night before should have forewarned this, but we were remaining hopeful. We arrive for breakfast promptly at 8:30 as booked the previous day. Both of us stood in the highest expectation that we will be acknowledged by any one member of staff. What were we thinking? We then got told that it will take 15 minutes to seat us, as they have numerous tables of 3 expected imminently. Please note that there were only 4 tables occupied and we were the only two people waiting to be seated. My friend offered to move the two coffee cups off the table for 2 and proceeded to sit due to walking mobility needs. All the tables were empty still at this time. I stood by the doorway waiting to share our table number. After 10 minutes of still being ignored (just myself stood at the ‘Please wait to be seated’ sign), one waitress shouted that I needed to share my table number. I did so and was then shouted that I wasn’t even booked in for breakfast and there was nothing she could do! Shocked and a little taken aback at her tone and disrespect, I explained I would head to reception, and ask them to check the reserva

At this point, she stood by a pillar and THREW HER PEN AGAINST THE WALL in front of the 4 tab
