Hampton Inn and Suites Stillwater West

It was EXTREMELY pricey due to a home game, and unfortunately I had to stay in Stillwater because my grandma was dying and I didn’t want to leave, so I had to fork up some big bucks. I appreciate that when returning to my room early the second morning, that we had fresh clean towels. The hotel has a lot of great features, everyone was very nice and welcoming.

Faucet leak. We had a leak in the hotel and all of my girlfriend’s makeup was ruined due to that diaper leak.

Under renovations which I wasn’t aware of, but it was okay nothing much

Economical, easy access, friendly staff but overall condition and comfort was average at best.

I've stayed here multiple times over the past 1.5 years because my son is a student at OSU. I've stayed mostly on the 4th floor. The rooms are fine (some peeling paint on the bathroom ceilings, but my rooms have been clean), beds and pillows very comfortable, and there's a good breakfast. Most all of the staff I have encountered are very friendly and helpful. But I have a few pet peeves. For over a year, there's been a problem with their Dish network television service in all of the guest rooms I've stayed in. The same problem exists down in the breakfast area, so it wasn't just my different, individual rooms. The picture continually hitches up (sound does not) and then starts again. Very annoying and impossible to watch sports (and, honestly, most other shows). I mentioned it to the person at the front desk at least two different times during two different stays, but then finally gave up when it was never rectified upon later visits. Also, in at least 3 of the different rooms I've stayed in, the sliding door into the restroom is installed incorrectly. When you go into the restroom and slide the door shut, there's no handle to slide the door back open. The two handles, which are supposed to be facing the interior of the bathroom, face into the room. I also reported this twice, but then stopped because it was never fixed when I stayed in the same room two times, several months apart. The last two times I tried to use the recumbent bikes in the fitness center, they didn't work properly (first one had a problem, then the other one broke too). One of the adjustable pulley housings on the weight stack also has been broken for about a year. Yes, I'd reported both of those issues, too.
