Food was great staff was lovely. Ask for gerrard and try the cocktails at the bar also a play area outside for the kids very friendly staff

It's always a great stay here. Great value for money. Nice room with very comfortable bed, very clean and well lit. The dining options are varied and well priced. Lots of free parking. Helpful friendly staff. Ideally located for visiting Ayrshire.

The hotel is separate from the bar/dining area, lucky enough the weather was fab. The place was clean, could have done with lockers to put undies in, as the wardrobe was open plan. Breakfast took forever to arrive, rashers were like soles on your shoe. Staff were friendly until they told us at 9.30 pm last orders. They closed at 10.15pm Same thing happened the following night, this time we were out in the beer garden which is lovely, again told last drinks at 9.30pm by 10.15 the girl said we had to leave, when I said just shut the place up and we can stay in the beer garden as there is nowhere you can sit in hotel. In an abrupt way she said we must leave the premises. We were like school kids leaving. Shame as I won't be going back there again

The Red Squirrel has a great central location in Stevenston, for touring Ayrshire and Glasgow is not too far away. The accommodation is in an annexe within a short distance of the Red Squirrel Bar and Restaurant. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and there were no problems with it. The restaurant and bar had a nice atmosphere and food wise there is a wide ranging menu and prices are very reasonable. Service from the staff that we encountered was friendly, although the period between placing our order and receiving our food was long for the three days we had breakfast. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay with good value food and accommodation. Recommended

Very nice time with the family here today for lunch. Very cost efficient and a nice environment for a meal. Would highly recommend for others! Staff are very attentive and quick service. Areas to keep kids busy whilst you waiting on the food arriving

Decent size of menu with lots to choose from. The food was good and reasonably priced. Service was quick and excellent customer service from the staff. The place was clean and tidy. Kids, aged 5 and 8 enjoyed playing in the play areas inside and out.
