Travelled for work very easy to find. Warm welcome. Good choice of drinks at bar, very friendly workers, very clean food was OUTSTANDING! only let down no air con in room and room was a bit out dated but you can open windows unlike most hotels

Very poor room had lights that did not work found out that the switch had been removed wall paper loose room dusty Restaurant at breakfast staff stood speaking service poor sauce bottles dirty Reception staff told about issue but showed no interest in resolving issues

Had a bar lunch there today 18th June 25. Food was great staff very pleasant indeed.our server in the bar Erin was.pleasant,civil polite just nice. Well worth a visit

Was giving a weekend stay for my birthday with b&b and evening meal 1 night , really really enjoyed it cannot fault anything rooms are very clean and tidy , staff on reception in restaurant and bar are second to none . Ordered 1 drink and after that when you went to bar they remembered what your last drink was absolutely fantastic everyone of them so friendly as well, been over to The Garfield Hotel a good few times now and cannot say a bad word about it we will be back soon

Good clean and accessible hotel. Friendly staff. Would stay again. We had 2 rooms booked. Standard and Disability Accessible. Challenge with position of bathroom exhaust fan in 'disability accessible' room as located in ceiling rather than connected to light switch. Standard room was surprisingly upgraded to suite which was appreciated.

The bed was very comfortable and the linen okay, not the best but certainly not the worst. Slightly odd that we as a couple were given a double bed, whilst our single niece was allocated a super king size bed. The bathroom could have been cleaner - there were hairs in the bath, on the toilet and on the floor. Even a 3* hotel should be clean. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Unfortunately the food was poor both at dinner and at breakfast. I know it’s at a price point but we all felt the food was poor quality and could have been cooked better.

Ok for a short stay but double rooms are way overpriced for what they are. I stayed in exec room the first night for £10 upgrade but unfortunately couldn’t upgrade for the 2nd night, the exec rooms are far superior, much larger and you get small bottle of water each in the room which you don’t get in standard room so if you get the chance def upgrade. I recd emails offering cheap upgrades after booking. We also used the bar and it was nice and breakfast was good.
