It is the worst I have ever experienced. The reviews were good but this must have been for hotel rooms. The self catering cottage is old, dirty, needs a maintenance and renovation closure. Linen and carpets, cushions and blankets were dirty! A nightmare! We checked out the next morning as we couldn’t immediately due to late arrival after the international flight.

Nous y allons depuis 20 ans et nous sommes toujours aussi satisfait Personnel et accueil fantastique Les logements sont propres bien équipés et confortables Très bonne Literie Magnifique jardin avec peut être beaucoup trop d arbres ( saules pleureurs ) qui donnent un peu trop d ombre sur certaines maisons et sur la piscine

We had such an amazing time at Skilpadvlei. We were a group of 10 ladies that travelled together. The personnel went out of their way to make sure we had the best time. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. Everything on the menu was delicious. From the breakfast we had to the dinner meals. A shuttle service was suggested for us with Hugh Gordon (ask for oom James) and the service was amazing!! I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Had the most wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived the staff in reception, restaurant and grounds man went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. We booked self catering but the restaurant is available from early breakfast to 21H00 and the food was good if cooking was a chore after a busy day or just to entertain friends. Restaurant was a gathering spot with friendly locals and families where you can have a good meal over a bottle of good estate wine without worrying about your bank balance. Food was excellent and the staff fabulous. I forget to get milk for my morning coffee at our really beautiful cottage and the restaurant happily hand over a jug of milk with no fuss I thought that was so kind. We overlooked a lovely dam with ducks and had gorgeous gardens around us. Patio evenings watching the world go by were most welcome. Central enough to run to shops and explore the surrounding area. Definitely will be back.

Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis
Nach Ankunft war das Zimmer unzureichend gereinigt; es gab Motten. Nach einer Beschwerde wurden alle Probleme umgehend gelöst und wir erhielten als Entschädigung ein Weinpräsent. Das Personal war zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und opulent, das Restaurant stets gut besucht (auch von Einheimischen, was ein gutes Zeichen war). Die Anlage ist schön, könnte aber gepflegter sein.
