Was een fantastische ervaring! Voelden ons verwend in een prachtige omgeving. De ontvangst was allerhartelijkst, op een warme middag met een heerlijk glas koele witte wijn. We werden we begroet door een heel ervaren vriendelijke gastvrouw, op een terras in een parkachtige tuin. Daarna naar onze prachtige gastenkamers gebracht, die naast elkaar zijn gebouwd met elk een eigen ingang naar een terras en tuin. Het was een luxe ervaring om daar te logeren. s’Middags nog gezwommen in een schoon fijn zwembad in de tuin! De volgende dag met de wijntram naar verschillende wijnproeverijen, een heerlijke ervaring, onze gastvrouw regelde een taxi voor ons zodat we ook iets konden drinken. Restaurants waren niet ver weg in Franschhoek en prima van kwaliteit, net als trouwens het uitgebreide ontbijt van Manoir de Brendel. We hadden best veel langer willen blijven dan 2 nachten. Kortom, een adres om naar terug te gaan!

What a pleasure it was to stay at Le Manoir de Brendel. This beautiful old house surrounded by lush vineyards and breathtaking mountainous scenery was the perfect stop after a few days in Cape Town. The faculties were fabulous as was Charmaine's attention to everyone's needs. Breakfast on the porch was a wonderful way to start our day. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer to really enjoy the wines of the region.

A very special place. I stayed here first in 2016 and was delighted to return in 2024. It was just as perfect as I remembered. So much character, no pretentiousness, a beautiful setting (with grounds to walk in), so tranquil and peaceful, a stunning and spacious room made with such pristine care, and easy to get from here anywhere via uber or the recommended taxi driver. Charmaine and her team were just wonderful

Super comfortable, peaceful place to stay within a stunning wine estate just outside of “ picture perfect” Franschhoek. We enjoyed eight nights of total relaxation. Spacious and comfortable suites, pretty pool lots of thoughtful touches in the rooms

We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at Le Manoir de Brendel at the end of September. It is truly the most intimate, magical place you can imagine, and I would thoroughly recommend it, either as a venue for an event, or simply as a place to stay. Charmaine (the manager) is such a lovely person and was incredibly helpful throughout, providing a list of vendors, answering all our questions (no matter how silly) and liasing with everyone on the big day. The wedding itself went perfectly and there was a wonderful atmosphere in the little garden at night under the fairy lights. I should also point out just how good the wine is. Even if you don't have the opportunity to stay for a night or two, I would recommend a tasting!
