What an exquisite place this is, just wonderful in every way. Set in one of the most beautiful places in the world, this is a haven of peace and comfort, brilliantly managed. We loved everything - from our gorgeous 2-storey thatched suite, with its comfortable king bed, immaculate bathroom and incredible views, to the sparkling pool with honesty bar nearby and the delicious and abundant breakfasts. Ezna, Bridgit and team do everything possible to make sure you can relax as well as enjoy all that the Franschhoek area has to offer. We can’t wait to return!

This hotel sits in a rural location between Fransschoek and Stellenbosch making it well-placed for touring the many local wineyards. The room was in a rustic style with a very high, thatched roof above the bed leading to a very spacious feel. The bathroom, however, was functional but somewhat cramped. The bed was excellent and we slept very well. Breakfast in the central building was excellent. Finally, the hostess offered a warm welcome and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in assisting with any local bookings.

Siamo stati per un weekend al Klein Waterval Riverside Lodge e ho trovato un posto fantastico, seppure in bassa stagione, voglio provare ad immaginare cosa può essere in primavera. Greg che gestisce il lodge è semplicemente incredibile, attento a tutte le tue necessità, consigliandoti e prenotando i ristoranti e le attrazioni più interessanti. La colazione è veramente super e puoi scegliere di farla all'interno con il fuoco acceso oppure sul deck di fronte ad uno scenario mozzafiato. Assolutamente da ripetere....Grazie Greg !!

This is a beautiful place to stay overlooking a vineyard and the mountains. The cottage was great,comfortable and clean with spectacular views. Greg and Ezna were fantastic hosts, advising on restaurants and trips and then booking them for us. They were always friendly and remembered your name and what you liked for breakfast. This is a good base for the wine region and it's only an hour back to Capetown. The village of Franschoek itself is a pleasant and friendly place. If I ever visit South Africa again I would definitely stay here again.

Direkt und sehr ruhig im Weingebiet gelegen präsentiert sich dieses Guest House als sehr unprätentiös, friedlich und beschaulich. Man wünscht sich, der Urlaub wäre ein bisschen länger und man könnte hier noch ein paar Tage dran hängen. Das Appartement selbst versteht sich als Zimmer mit Galerie (dort auch grosszügiger Schlafbereich), Badezimmer mit Dusche und Badewanne, kleiner Terrasse mit Blick in das angrenzende (und zum Gut gehörende) Weinanbaugebiet. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig angelegt, kommen ohne weiteren Schnickschnack aus und bieten doch alles und mehr als man braucht, va. Ruhe und einen sagenhaften Blick in die Weinregion. Ein eigener, gepflegter Pool mit ausreichend Liegestühlen zwischen dem Haupthaus (auf Bildern nicht zu sehen) und Übernachtungsbereich, lädt zum Lesen und Schwimmen ein. Frühstück kann man im Aussenbereich des Haupthauses direkt an einem Mini-Bächein (dort dann auch der "Klein Waterval") einnehmen. Der Guest House-Besitzer (mit libanesischen Wurzeln) sowie seine Mitarbeiter sind äusserst freundlich und versorgen die Gäste mit jeder Menge guter Restauranttips in der Franschhoek-Region. Dringend zu empfehlen!!

A propriedade fica na região de vinícolas. O proprietário cultiva uvas na propriedade para consumo, não produz vinhos. É um hotel fazenda bem bonito e confortável. Quarto bem amplo, porém muito frio (no inverno), sem aquecedor. Sofri um bocado! Outro detalhe negativo é que senti um cheiro de mofo no quarto, mas nada que comprometesse a estada. O proprietário e sua espoda são muitíssimo gentis! Eles te deixam muito à vontade, nos sentimos em casa. O café da manhã é simples, mas com o necessário: frutas, iogurte, granola, sucos, café, chá. Os proprietários cuidam de tudo pessoalmente , inclusive das refeições. No café da manhã eles oferecem para fazer ovos, torradas, bacon. A lareira acesa para aqueced o ambiente e uma música ao fundo bem agrdável. Certamente voltaria!

My family and I stayed here just recently, and really enjoyed this lovely B&B. We have been traveling though different parts of Capetown and staying at different B&Bs every night. I must say that Klein Waterval was the best accommodation we stayed at. Location wise, it's convenient to the wineyards, the Franschhoek Motor Museum, and the Franschhoek town, less than a 10min drive. The accommodation was very charming with their Cape Dutch architecture and lovely rustic and warm decor. Great pool access and balconies you can sit and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the vineyards, fruit trees and mountains. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable beds and a quiet outdoors resulted in a very good night's sleep. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable with restaurant recommendations. Their breakfast was delicious as well. I would definitely come back!!
