Do not stay here if you are expecting a five or even a four star hotel.
Key negatives:
- We advised it was our honeymoon and no arrangements / special occasion were arranged even after reminding the manager
- No onsite gym - this is outsourced
- No onsite SPA - this is outsourced
- Carpeted shared areas which was smelly
- Dated decor throughout including bathroom
- Beds were queen size and rock solid with uncomfortable pillows
- Tram line over looks the pool which goes by throughout the day every 15mins or so
- Roadside noise
- One lady was very helpful and nothing was to big an ask - however the rest of the reception staff were terrible.

- Shuttle into town is a big benefit although taxis are cheap

We had a great stay here in a large Villa Suite with a sitting area, large bedroom and huge bathroom. There are two pools, one heated and one not and we used both depending on how hot the weather was. The complimentary shuttle into town was brilliant and a simple WhatsApp message secured a fast pickup after dinner. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant manager was always available for a chat or to provide more tips and advice on where to go and where to eat. We will definewtly return.

Fomos furtados nesse hotel. Lugar lindo, um charme, porém uma decepção. No dia que chegamos saímos para jantar, deixamos nosso dinheiro na mala, trancada c cadeado, pois não havia cofre. Ao retornarmos meu marido percebeu que quebraram a mala e levaram nossos dólares. Eles que pediram o táxi, ou seja, sabiam o horário que saímos e voltaríamos. Como são vilas, com várias portas de vidro, não nos demos conta de que uma estava aberta propositalmente. O hotel pouco se prontificou pra ajudar esclarecer os fatos, aliás, minha impressão foi de acobertamento, fizemos um BO, que tb posso dizer que não deu em nada. Situação lamentável.

What a beautiful place the gardens were amazing the rooms are so beautiful Such a fantastic place , complementary shuttle bus is a nice touch we used it quite a few times Staff were very friendly nothing too much trouble . Breakfast was in a beautiful room upstairs overlooking the gardens and a very nice breakfast Lots of fruits and cereal meats & cheese and a cooked option as-well. Our room was beautifully decorated and overlooked the 2 pools one is heated the other isn’t. Such a beautiful place to stay we will definitely come again .

Very luxurious, comfortable & peaceful stay. The rooms are a very high standard As we're the restaurants both for breakfast and dinner. I would highly recommend staying here

We found this a very welcoming place to stay when in Franschoek - our room was big and bright, and the complimentary lift service was very useful especially for evenings out. There's also a great restaurant on site, and a nice poolside area to chill in.
