This could be a good hotel. The staff are very attentive and the food is acceptable. However for a venue charging 5* prices a number of problems arise. They either don’t pay for a number of tv channels or have forgotten to do so therefore very limited. This would not be so bad if guests were able to go to the bar after eating to socialise. Unfortunately the bar closed around 8 p.m. last night so no option but for room with no real tv. Their online directory is a joke as it indicates restaurants will be open when they are not. If you wan’t a comfortable room with quite good food this is for you but if you wan’t anything else go to another (probably cheaper) venue.

Okuhle and Azaxole were the best waiters and made our experience so much fun. Definitely worth the visit!!! They were so friendly and happy and gave us so much insight about the wines. The wine farm is absolutely beautiful and worth it!! The prices are great.

Amazing place with a great new wine tasting section. The fish option was amazing, particularly great since I washed it down with their Carbenet Sauvignon. Definitely recommend when visiting Stellenbosch and the surrounding areas. 10/10!!!

Excellent service from staff,especially Calvin. Enjoyed the wine tasting experience. The new venue is well done on the new look,especially the outside view of the dam. Well done and keep it up. May you grow going foward. We wish the best. We will visit again

Asive was such great waitress! Absolute 5 star. Very friendly, respectful, efficient and very fast. We had a great time been served by her. She explained the tasting so well and thorough. Please promote this girl!!! She is an asset to the business.

My husband and I have just had an amazing, tranquil 2 night stay at this beautiful 5 Star Wine Estate. The Hotel Room was comfortable with a lovely balcony. We were introduced to some of the best red wines during our wine tasting. The staff where able to make good recommendations with the pairing of food. I thoroughly enjoyed this property; soaking in the view and fresh air. All the staff were friendly and helpful making our stay well worth it.

I took some friends from Germany for a walk-in wine-tasting at Asara, and the reception we received from Calvin and his colleagues was exceptional. They succeeded in making it a very memorable experience. Great overall presentation and great wines.

We went for a tasting and had the most incredible experience. Wonderful staff and the most interesting tasting led by Annalisa! Her lovely manner guided us through a fascinating wine journey through the Asara wines! We had a fabulous time! Delicious wines and so affordable!

What a lovely afternoon! I always thought Asara was pretensious but what a reality check! I was so impressed, the wine, food and super service. What an exceptional experience. I walked away with boxes.of wine. My wine steward knew her stuff and made this a lovely time.
