Exquisite location with gorgeous views. The room had central heating which was very welcome in winter.
Highly recommend the Spa - we treated ourselves to one of the personal journey packages and it was totally worth it.

We loved our stay at the hotel. Lovely welcome with a glass of wine. We had a 2 bed thatched cottage which had everything we wanted and more. Looking out from the peaceful balcony was beautiful. The breakfast was amazing! The shuttle into the town was so helpful. It was great to relax with a glass of wine by the pool. I just wish we had been able to be there for longer!

I can absolutely recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay. I visited with a friend last week. We had decided to stop here to see what the area had to offer. What a lovely place, and this hotel is excellent. I highly recommend staying here. There is a courtesy bus which is available to take you into the town when you require. The pool area is lovely, and drinks are available by waiter service. The rooms, or at least the room I stayed in, was huge with wooden beams and a lovely bathroom area. I loved the breakfast, great choice of lovely fresh and cooked food available. Overall, if you're in the area, I would definitely recommend staying in this lovely location.

Voted as our favourite hotel, fabulous staff, and welcome. Our rooms had amazing views and spacious with lots of treats. We ate in Sauvage, which was a nice dinner. Terrace Schnitzel burger for a snack to share, Greek salad was family size. The manager who we met kindly arranged for us to order cocktails on the lawn with a snack platter for sunset on our 1st evening. Attentive staff and the best breakfast offering, with loads of treats and hot choices to fuel you, before jumping on wine tram. We used Spa, pool & hot tub. Thoroughly enjoyable stay - thank you to your team for a great stay 🙏

The shuttle service, the breakfast and the friendliness and attentiveness of staff was 5 stars. The only thing that let the hotel down slightly was that I felt the room was slightly dated and not at a five star level. We ran into the town from the hotel and felt very safe. The town and the tram/bus tour was fantastic. We feel a four star review is an accurate representation for the hotel.

Beautiful location with well maintained grounds. Good room, excellent buffet or cooked breakfast. Best thing was the shuttle service they offered taking you to Franschhoek or local restaurants. There is a spa facility, but sadly didn't have time to use.

A very impressive set of thatched buildings but our room was rather cold. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Shuttle service into and out of town was excellent. The location was great with impressive grounds. We were there for the wine tastings which were good fun. We would recommend the restaurant Eleven in town. Very high standard multi-course meal with good wine and because of rate of pound to rand it was very reasonable. The meal we had at the hotel could not be said to be high standard as I had to reject one steak.

My wife and I are on our golden wedding anniversary trip doing the garden route of South Africa. We recently stayed at Le Franshhoek and had booked the Sauvage resturant for a special meal to celebrate. We got dressed up in our finery and went th the bar which was empty and very cold so we asked the bar staff to light the fire as it was strangely not alight. I asked for a draught beer only to be told they had run out of all brands . We then asked to sit at the table only to find that out of a 60+ seater resturant we were the only guests that night . We was very disappointed and left . The other resturant was also deserted so we left that . The hotel kindly took us to town to a nice resturant and collected us . The following day the hotel was full of men in suites we then realised that this hotel is primarily a corporate function /delegation events based hotel

On the negative side no hot water for shower the morning we left. TV reception very poor. Tried phoning reception and get recorded message with no call back. No water left in fridge on second day. On the positive side stunning location. Excellent staff. Breakfast very very good. Great shuttle service to and from village ( don’t try and walk as the road is busy and no pavement)
