Exquisite location with gorgeous views. The room had central heating which was very welcome in winter.
Highly recommend the Spa - we treated ourselves to one of the personal journey packages and it was totally worth it.

A very impressive set of thatched buildings but our room was rather cold. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Shuttle service into and out of town was excellent. The location was great with impressive grounds. We were there for the wine tastings which were good fun. We would recommend the restaurant Eleven in town. Very high standard multi-course meal with good wine and because of rate of pound to rand it was very reasonable. The meal we had at the hotel could not be said to be high standard as I had to reject one steak.

My wife and I are on our golden wedding anniversary trip doing the garden route of South Africa. We recently stayed at Le Franshhoek and had booked the Sauvage resturant for a special meal to celebrate. We got dressed up in our finery and went th the bar which was empty and very cold so we asked the bar staff to light the fire as it was strangely not alight. I asked for a draught beer only to be told they had run out of all brands . We then asked to sit at the table only to find that out of a 60+ seater resturant we were the only guests that night . We was very disappointed and left . The other resturant was also deserted so we left that . The hotel kindly took us to town to a nice resturant and collected us . The following day the hotel was full of men in suites we then realised that this hotel is primarily a corporate function /delegation events based hotel

On the negative side no hot water for shower the morning we left. TV reception very poor. Tried phoning reception and get recorded message with no call back. No water left in fridge on second day. On the positive side stunning location. Excellent staff. Breakfast very very good. Great shuttle service to and from village ( don’t try and walk as the road is busy and no pavement)

From the Hotel to the restaurant, Sauvage, what a magical experience! The staff are friendly and so accommodating. The Villas are top class. The breakfasts are incredible with so much to choose from. As for Sauvage the restaurant which was fully booked, the food was next level! Thank you Murray, Holly and Chef and all the staff at Le Franschhoek Spa & Hotel for an incredible weekend. Mel Needham

Just arrived this evening. Staff super friendly and helpful. Couldn't do more for you. Run a courtesy service into town so we can enjoy evening meal. Needed a camera battery so was taken straight into town to get the battery before the shops closed. Very helpful

Ottimo albergo, che al suo interno incorpora diversi edifici in stile Coloniale con una vista magnifica fra i vigneti e le montagne. Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in una camera familiare con due letti singoli nel soppalco superiore e un letto matrimoniale, camera più che ampia e dotata di ogni confort necessario. La sera si ha la possibilità di cenare in due ristoranti : uno più alla mano ma con un ottimo menu; l’altro (quello che poi abbiamo scelto) decisamente più raffinato con un menu eccellente (facciamo i complimenti alle chef ) , il prezzo è in linea con la qualità espressa nei piatti (165€ per 4 pp) ne siamo Usciti pienamente soddisfatti . Colazione ottima , abbondante ed internazionale con un ottima qualità di scelta e di prodotti . Il complesso alberghiero rientra in una serie di edifici che si integrano benissimo nell’ambiente circostante , curato anche nei dettagli, con una splendida piscina all’aperto una SPA, campi da tennis e una palestra . Siamo pienamente soddisfatti della scelta e lo consigliamo a chiunque scelga un soggiorno raffinato e immerso nella tranquillità .

Always a good stay, comfortable and cozy rooms and lovely views. Breakfast was good and the cappuccinos were great. Check in was easy as pre booked and paid. Hotel is probably in need of a facelift soon, especially the bar, lounge and dining room. More channels needed on TV.

I enjoyed our stay in Le Franschhoek hotel, we were only there for 2 nights and used it as a base for the Franschhoek Wine Tram so didn't get to use the whole range of facilities. The shuttle service into town was excellent and much appreciated. A special shout out to Johnathan for being so friendly and for giving us recommendations on where to go in town for food. The rooms were cold at night time but the underfloor heating helped and it was definitely appreciated. I would suggest the TV/ in room entertainment could be modernised, either through a smart TV or at the very least a casting device. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
