Best Western Tingvold Park Hotel

The decision to choose this hotel had a lot to do with all day waffles. We cooked some up as soon as we arrived and they were wonderful. Nice touch! The rest of our stay was great as well. The hotel is nicely located in a quiet residential area of Steinkjer – very peaceful and no traffic noise. There’s tons of free parking just outside the hotel which is a huge bonus. Our room was huge, with a spacious sitting area, as was the bathroom – definitely room for 2 people in there! However the view wasn’t so great and we had only one small window for the big room so it was a little bit dark. But I suppose rooms in other parts of the hotel had better views and more sunlight. Everything in the room was clean and comfortable and the Wifi internet worked well. There is a very nice outdoor sitting area just outside reception, a great spot for eating your waffles, as a lot of guests were doing. Breakfast and dinner both were included in the hotel price and both were excellent – buffet style with plenty of variety. Very impressed. There was even a small, basic gym in the basement. It wasn’t all that well equipped – a couple of treadmills, a low-quality multi-gym, and a very good bench and rack with an Olympic barbell. Just enough equipment to get a pretty good workout. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.
