Egn Boutique Hotel

Very disappointed with the booking service! The reception hours are extremely limited and don’t even match the ones listed on trip.com! It was very difficult to arrange a late check-in. I had to validate my card (make a payment) through a suspicious-looking website. I had to message them constantly to ask what to do next and whether everything was okay, as they sent no confirmation or updates whatsoever. Eventually, after I contacted them again, they said the validation had failed—even though the money had already been taken from my card. This was on the morning of the check-in day, and I could have ended up on the street! I tried to call, but they didn’t answer—the phone only works Wednesday to Saturday, for just 2 hours a day! Do they really think this is customer service?! The hotel itself and the room were cozy and pleasant. In the morning, I went to breakfast, only to be told it was not included in my booking—again, not what was stated on trip.com. Reception took a long time to check things, but I’m thankful they let me eat for free in the end. The breakfast was very poor: no omelets, no sausages, and the only vegetables were a few wilted slices of tomato. Please align your actual booking process and conditions with what’s listed on Trip.com! I’d also suggest adding to the hotel description that this is primarily a hotel for elderly guests, just to give a more accurate impression. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Don't baulk if no rooms in the main building are available but a pod is. We had a very comfortable night there. The space reminded me of a two-person tent: enough space for a bed with space between it and the door for a chair and things. But unlike a tent - solid walls, glass door and window onto the garden, an egg shape that gave space for a tall person, space under the bed for our suitcase and a shelf above the bed. Dinner and breakfast were impressive. We used the restaurant bathrooms, which included a shower. The beach was an easy walk down the street. Moen had been recommended by friends and it is indeed a beautiful island, well worth visiting. We were booking only about a week out, so felt very lucky to have had such a lovely experience.

Delightful in all respects from beginning to end. Rooms are small but beautiful and comfortable. But the two aspects that really make this place special are the location and the food. Mon is an underrated gem of the first order. The biking and hiking here are as lovely as anyplace I have ever been and I have been all over the world. And the meal we had here!!! Michelin star level without all the fuss. Julia and Jesper are a wonderful - he is the kitchen whipping up fabulous stuff - and Julia pairing wines and providing attentive and thoughtful service. Really cannot recommend this place more highly.

We stayed one night at EGN Guesthouse, a quiet and well-kept spot in the countryside. Parking was easy, with spaces available right at the front, and the room was small but clean and functional — just right for a short stay. Check-in, however, felt a bit disorganized. The host had trouble locating our reservation and asked for my name several times. While it was eventually resolved, it wasn’t the smoothest welcome. Also worth noting: check-in is limited to 3:00–5:30 PM, which may not suit all travelers. The biggest letdown was breakfast. While the setting and setup were pleasant, the offerings were minimal. There was no fresh fruit at all, and the only eggs provided were soft-boiled in the shell. Though the elderflower juice was a nice local touch, we couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed — especially since the guesthouse is chef-owned. It seemed like a missed opportunity to offer something a bit more special or inspired. While the guesthouse was quiet and clean, the overall experience just didn’t feel as personal or memorable as we had hoped.
