Red Roof Plus+ Statesville

We choose this hotel for the value and the location. The price point was very reasonable Lady at the desk was nice and polite with us Room was remodeled and clean For a one night stay its very good choice if your looking to save some money for a road trip stop

This is one of the nicest Red Roofs you will find. Area felt safe, room was clean, convenient to many nearby fast food restaurants, and within 10 minutes to many more. Checkin was quick. Excellent value for the money. Will absolutely stay again if in the area.

OUTSTANDING MOTEL This is the best Red Roof Inn motel you'll ever stay. The room, front desk staff, customer service -- ALL - Outstanding. I wish all motels were kept to the standards of this motel. I'd like to thank the Desk Clerk for his Outstanding Customer Service.

A well-located and reasonably priced pet-friendly motel. A terrifically helpful young lady at RECEPTION and the room was very acceptable. The east coast RED ROOF INNS seem to be putting more effort into their upgrades than those of the west. (In December I stayed in a RR in Blythe, California which was absolutely atrocious!!!) On the positive side: there is a safe in the room and the room has an UPDATED wall thermostat to control the new HVAC unit which is wonderful for the light sleeper such as myself. On the downside: there is still a lack of POWER OUTLETS and USB PORTS so you are forced to search for wall plugs. (SUGGEST: New desk lamps and wall lights which incorporate both these.) However....a CAUTION........since the highway widening has been completed (FINALLY!!!!) there is a much larger NOISE FACTOR which is going 24/7. SO if you are a light sleeper as I am make sure you EITHER make a specific room request online for the EAST/MALL side and CLOSER to RECEPTION...or call the motel to make your reservation and request such a room. I had the end room and I found the highway noise all night unexpected (although I have NOT stayed here since the construction started well before COVID). It is what it is.

We reserved the premium king for spa like bathroom and better bedding. We have 2 dogs so that played a major part in our decision. There was nothing spa like. Shower barely drained. The bedding was what made this a 2 instead of nothing. I needed a higher toilet due to knee issues so it was advised to get an ADA room. I explained nothing else needed. So bathroom stripped down to nothing. There is no smoking in rooms but you better be prepared around your door.Safety is important to me I didn't feel it here. While we were packing up this morning there was a car in parking lot hit and other car ran. Lesson learned we paid 100 for one night. Should have upgraded paid a higher pet fee at different hotel. Done with Red Roof Inn!!

Pluses: easy checkin, pleasant front desk; good bed, clean, quiet, adequate space, easy parking Minuses: Saw ad for $64 but was told “those rooms are sold out.” Ended up paying $85 plus tax. AC was very noisy and didn’t cool the room adequately. Only one chair. Okay for one night.

Great stay…Far better than I had expected. For starters, Samantha and Jillian on the front desk were awesome! One of the best Red Roofs I have stayed in in a long while. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, Plenty of hot water for my shower, the linens were decent, the usual amenities were just fine. Not de luxe, but you can’t beat the value. I have avoided most Red Roofs because they have gotten subpar reviews, but this one was one of the best. I would definitely stay here again. And the pets stay for free! (That is a huge plus these days, when most hotels are dinging you a minimum of $25 per pet per NIGHT. )

Hotel room was just okay. I don't think it was worth that money. We were not going to check in until after midnight so we did not want to spend a lot of money for 8 hr just to get some sleep. The bed was not bad. They provide 2 soft pillows and 2 firm and the firm are not comfortable at all (There was 4 of us) The worst part was the very strong mildew smell that hits you as soon as you open the door. The bathtub also looked very dirty as the bottom of it looked black almost. I wouldn't have wanted to step into it with my bare feet. We were up since 7 am and were on the road all day that we just stayed anyway. It wasn't safe for us to drive to look for another hotel.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the motel at the low price we paid- but I was wonderfully surprised. The room was clean, freshly renovated, spacious. The hard wood floors were very nice. Even the bathroom was clean and in well repair. I feared being close to the Highway would mean a loud night, but I honestly did not hear much freeway traffic noise. The front desk staff were warm and friendly- very helpful in providing directions and accommodating with extra towels, etc.
