Good base in the Tatra mountains We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at the hotel, full of comfort, good food and relaxation. The hotel is located at the foothills of the Tatras mountains, fantastic location for hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. You can walk to the nearby town of Tatranska Lomnica through the forest in about 20-30 minutes. The Tatra electric railway (TEŽ) station Stara Lesna is a 16 minute walk from the hotel and you can access all the stops along the Skalnate Pleso lift stations for just €4 for a 24 hour pass. Rooms are small, but comfortable, we had a beautiful view of the mountains (ask for a Mountain View on check-in) Nice bathrooms and the spa is definitely the highlight along with the VIP Sky lounge although this is an extra fee. The wellness opening hours worked for us as we were out all day then could enjoy the spa in the evening but in the summer you may struggle to use the facilities. Onto a very big positive.....we enjoyed the buffet-style breakfast and dinners and the quality of the food was excellent. Some great choices and food selection for people with dietary requirements. Staff were all so nice and helpful. Overall a great hotel, however small details that could make it better: such as internet availability. The wifi always disconnects and you needed to keep opening a browser and log in again and again. The coffee at breakfast could be a lot better, maybe some hot milk could be available for the machine use. Also opening hours of wellness centre could be better as you don't have much time to use it if you're on trip during the day, using the pool first thing would be great and longer onto the evening. Nice stay This hotel has a great view of Tatry. Check-out time is a little bit early I guess. The swimming pool opens at 10:00. Therefore, you cannot use the pool in the morning of the check-out day. Breakfast is relatively good. But the dinner is so-so. There are not many selections. Staffs are so nice and helpful.

Great disappointment! We booked half bored to just to find out that if we arrive at 20.30 there’s almost no food left. What remained was either burnt or cold, and when we asked for water - we were charged €3 for TAP water!!! I asked to talk to the manager, but after the waiter consulted with another employee (no idea who he was) - he came with the answer that the manager was not present.

We stayed in the hotel with a group that tracks in the Tatra area. Our experience was so bed from many aspects: As we arrived to the hotel we had to eat dinner. The hotel had the information about our arrival time but unfortunately the food in the dining room was not enough and the staff were in a hurry to illuminate the dinner. We ordered double bed room and when we entered the room we found that it is twin beds. It was a problem for others in the group. When we ask to get what we ordered the staff in the reception try to said it is what we ordered but we provide them - they are wrong. It is not helped us!! The room is small, the bathroom is terrible. It was a bed smell in the bathroom and the water licked all over when you take a shower. We asked to do something with the bed smell but we didn’t get any answer and non of the staff came to see the problem. When we come to the hotel we got 2 keys to the room. After a day we asked to get a key because we did not find one of it. At the beginning the lady in the reception that was very rude and grumpy said that my wife “was 5 minutes ago and asked for a key”. Of course it was her confusion because her negative approach from the beginning. My wife never been in the hotel reception. At the end when she understood she was wrong, she asked me to pay 10 €…….. When I asked to get a clean towel, I got the answer: “if you want a towel, come down to the reception…” My recommendation is not to choose this hotel.

The food is very good. We liked the saunas, spas, and resting rooms around the spa/pool complex. The location near a forest with walking trails and the mountain view is spectacular.
