The hotel is tastefully appointed. The furnishings in both the public areas and the rooms are new and stylish, surpassing the standards of a B&B and truly resembling a boutique hotel. The bedding was very comfortable. The room we stayed in, called ”Yu'an,” was spacious, well-designed, quiet, and comfortable. The view from the window was of lush greenery in the distance, and the overall atmosphere, like its name, evoked a tranquil and soothing atmosphere. I believe this is a hotel of high design standards, and the designer deserves a thumbs-up. It was the most exquisite and comfortable hotel I stayed in on this trip.
The service was also friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. My schedule in Shaxi was tight, so I could have spent more time in the hotel's public areas. Since the hotel maintains the standards of a resort hotel, there were no noisy children or curious tourists. Even though it was fully booked, I rarely saw other guests, allowing for a peaceful and tranquil stay. It's a truly tranquil retreat in the bustling city of Shaxi, perfect for those who enjoy a quiet getaway.
The best part of staying overnight in Shaxi is being able to walk to the tourist-free streets of the ancient town before 8 a.m., walk along the stone pavement after the rain, walk to Yujin Bridge to watch the clouds drift over the distant mountains, and sit under the large trees of the ancient theater.
