This hotel is not recommended if not by car. It is far from the main ski areas. But their service is nothing to say. The shuttle buses once an hour. The rooms are super clean, the scenery is nice, very quiet, good luck and you can see foxes. The staff are very patient and have questions and answers. I have a little problem in the itinerary. They all helped us book the car and pick us up. If I drive, I will definitely come back.

I'm usually not happy to comment, but I must comment this time. This hotel is really beyond my expectations. The two-bedroom, one-living room room for four of us is very cost-effective. The room facilities are great, with floor heating, dishwasher, coffee machine, and oven. Although it is about 400 meters away from the ski resort, there is a car to pick us up. We went to Max value for pick-up, which was really touching.

The room was clean and spacious,
Large enough to open 3 luggages,
And the view from the window was splendid.
The breakfast was average, not bad.
Onsen was nice too.

Brand new villa, great value for money, highly recommended. Maybe because it is still in trial operation, some facilities are not in place yet, but the flaws do not outweigh the merits. Another thing to remind you is that there is no air conditioning in both rooms (there is air conditioning in the living room on the second floor). People who are very afraid of heat may have to consider it. This does not affect us, and we feel quite comfortable. After all, Hokkaido is not like Taiwan. It is hot for only a few months a year. It is really unnecessary to require B&Bs to install air conditioning in every room. Moreover, short-term stayers go out during the day, so I personally don’t think it affects it. Environmental protection and loving the earth are more important. In addition, although the B&B is next to the road, the sound insulation is pretty good. If you don’t listen carefully, it is difficult to hear the sound of cars passing by.

GGuest UserThis was my third stay at The Maples, and I couldn't have enjoyed it more. This time I came with just my boyfriend instead of with family, so handled most of the logistics myself. I really relied on help from the staff and The Maples, before, during and after my trip! Even a month before my trip, I got a lot of help with transportations, ski passes etc through emailing with the staff, who were always so prompt to reply and very friendly. During my stay, they also helped me a lot with dinner reservations etc. Every request or question I had was met with a friendly smile.
Of course, I enjoyed the location again immensely. It was great to be able to walk to many of the stores and restaurants, and to also ski in and out. This time I also rented a car and parking at the Maples was always available and easy.
The hotel was always bright and clean. My onlyyyy complaint if I had to mention was that my room did not have black out curtains... so I was woken up pretty early every morning by the natural sunlight!! But, this actually helped me to get up there on the slopes bright and early, so a perk after all!
PPony ྀིྀིྀིྀིྀིExtended my stay here! Didn’t get to try the free breakfast that came along with the room but will definitely check it out the next time I return :)
AAlinkaShockIt was an amazing stay! The room was big and clean, we liked their toiletries ( such as skin care products)
The huge bonus was a private onsen😍 it's a must after skiing, but even if you don't have one, you can use a shared one downstairs 👌
Breakfast was quite good and we really enjoyed how close the hotel is to the slope, you can actually see it from the window
They also have lockers for your ski gear which is so convenient
Overall highly recommend to stay 👍
Ddoreenxu_1989The hotel's breakfast and dinner are very attentive. Among so many hotels with meals, this one is the best. Well, except for the only advantage, the others are all bad reviews. First of all, the hotel's hot spring is open to day-return guests after 4 pm every day, so the outdoor pool is very large but it will also be crowded with Australians, and these Australian guests are very rough in using the hot spring, so the sanitary conditions of the entire hot spring are average; secondly, there is an older man as a waiter in the restaurant. When I met him the first day, I found that when he served the dishes to each table, he put down the tableware with great force, which was equivalent to throwing, and even spilled the soup. At first I thought it was because of his old age. Later, one day at breakfast, I met a mother and daughter from Shanghai. Because the mother's legs were inconvenient and they couldn't use the Japanese table, they asked to change the table. The waiter took the tableware to the new table very badly. I realized that he was not old but did it on purpose ☺️ The price is reasonable, the meal is excellent, and the rest is equivalent to no service
JJessyTThe plus point of this hotel is the outdoor mixed gender onsen.
The location is inconvenient, although there is shuttle bus provided but limited time slot. There is no convenience store or restaurant nearby.
I was advised the late check out rate at ¥3300 per hour but I was confused when 1 of the staff advised another guest at ¥2200 per hour. Why double standard? I guess maybe it depends on the room type?
EEdwardliu82The CP value is very high! The room is larger than expected, and the overall environment, cleanliness, and WiFi are all satisfactory!
For self-driving tours, the hotel provides parking spaces (but parking spaces are limited) and it takes about 5-10 minutes to reach the ski resort. If you don’t have a car, the hotel provides a shuttle bus! There is a ski equipment rental service in the hotel (but not used)
Niseko skiing and sightseeing by car! Can be given priority.
If there is no car, consider the convenience of entry and exit.
GGuest UserConvenient place to ski Rusutsu while not staying at the resort (and not paying resort prices). Shuttle service was run smoothly and even accommodated me when i screwed it up 1 time. Nothing but good things to say about the staff, and all amenity rooms were stocked and kept tidy. Shower room and adjacent corridor smelled a bit off but the rest of the place was fine.
I would stay here again if i were committed to skiing Rusutsu, didnt rent a car, and didnt want to pay resort prices.
GGuest UserThe location is the best which just one minute walking distance to the bus terminal to/from Toya Station and in front of the ferry pier. Please see my photo. Perfect location. The front desk receptionist lady was friendly. I was placed to a lake view Japanese style room. It doesn't include shower but toilet in the room and it looks like old but I love the room. The view from the room's window to Lake Toya was excellent. I love my room's window can be opened, I could see more clear to the lake view and to have fresh air from outside by opening the window. Even it was a raining day, cloudy and frosty. The view is still spotless good. The service was good. The room was clean, tidy and come with all necessity, but bath/shower excluded. However, based on the price, I was happy with it because I don't mind to use the bathroom in the onsen area on floor one. There was only two down side that I found: First, the male onsen area floor was sticky and slippery with moss (My left hand accidentally touched it and my hand was sticked with moss in outdoor onsen area) that includes indoor and outdoor area. I wish they would take more effort to the cleanliness of onsen area. Second, the suana was not available for customer to use. However, I had a fantastic sauna and onsen in 万世閣 (a hotel where is just a few minutes walk away from Toya Grand Hotel) by a paying walk in onsen fee(1300 yen) for non-resident. So, it didn't affect me much.
Overall, my experience was good. I would give Toya Grand Hotel 8 out of 10. I love Toya Grand Hotel. I would recommend it.
GGuest UserGoshiki is a skiers dream come true!!! Ideally located outside of niseko’s high traffic and a step off the stairs away from skinning up a the mountain from Giving it moderate ratings is only because it’s an older structure with minimal maintenance,…. Rooms were very nice and clean and the waters are rich in minerals. Staying here allows for exclusive 24hr onsen access. Pools get busy after 3-7pm when skiers are finishing up their day,… Go enjoy its traditional rustic building while they’re standing. Seems like within 5-10 years it will be developed and owned by a foreign tycoon!
Bring your own food,,.. vending machines have beer only,…
