Totally，there is a amazing place for youths, the amenities are integrated, the vibe in bar is so great. Location is greatly appreciated, closed to train station, bus station, and many delicious restaurants! In terms of room, I am just aware of the gap between mattress and wall.

I recently stayed at the a&o Hostel in Venice and had a comfortable and practical experience overall. The location is convenient, especially if you’re arriving by train—just a short walk from Venezia Mestre station, making it easy to access both the mainland and Venice island via public transport. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were generally helpful and multilingual. The room was clean and functional, with basic furnishings. I stayed in a private room with ensuite, which was a good balance between hotel comfort and hostel affordability. The bed was reasonably comfortable, though the walls were a bit thin—you could occasionally hear noise from the hallway or adjacent rooms. The communal areas were well-maintained, including a lounge, shared kitchen, and a bar area where you can socialize or relax. Wi-Fi was reliable throughout the building. This hostel attracts a mix of solo travelers, students, and budget-conscious tourists, which gave it a lively atmosphere. While it’s not the most character-filled or romantic place in Venice, it delivers solid value for the price. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and accessible base to explore the region, a&o Venice is a dependable choice.

Stayed for 1 night and was given a twin bed. Room was small and when we first arrived, there wasn't any ventilation as it seems like the AC wasn't working. There is a smell in the room, like an old smell. Contacted front desk and he assisted us immediately, resolved the AC problem. Hotel is located in a small alley and it can be quite dark once night rime. There are mosquitoes as it's approaching summer so just take note. Our room was across the breakfast area so we didn't feel very safe. Walls are thin as you can hear people coming back, chatting etc. No water and toothbrush are provided, so bring your own.

The location is very good in the main island, around 10 mins walk from St Lucia train station. There are also waterbus stations nearby. There are lots of restaurants as well. The shared bathroom is quite small but it’s good value for money.

We were two couples who stayed at ”Quadruple room with Private Bathroom” for 3 days. The hotel stands at the heart of Venice center and walkable from Santa Lucia train station and Ferrovia ”Vaporetto” (water public transport of Venice Lagoon) Terminal from where you can get to everywhere you can think of while visiting Venice. The hotel has 24 hours reception. The rooms were clean and comfortable.  There was room keeping everyday. The toilet was bit conjusted but was okay for us. The beds were comfortable. Everything was perfect. The only cons I found was the room size. It was a bit small for 4 people. There are local bakeries and cafes around, pharmacy, restaurants in mid-budget, Gondola service, etc all at reachable walking distance.

Жили в номере 211 SANDWIP с 5 по 7 мая. Из заявленного на сайте: 1. Не было холодильника в номере. Место для него с фото на сайте было пустым. Но был холодильник в общей кухне. 2. Wi-Fi не доставал до нашей комнаты. Ловило в туалете, в комнате периодически отваливался интернет. Плюсы: Видно, что номер отремонтирован недавно. Есть ставни для закрытия от света. Поверхность в душе очень приятная визуально и тактильно. Есть окно в ванной. Дали войти в номер раньше времени заселения, поставить багаж. Минусы: немного плесени над окном в ванной, иногда в ванной появлялся соответствующий запах. При заселении не показали общую кухню и что там в принципе есть, позже нашли её сами. Чуть грязновато на полу (мелкая пыль). На самом деле не двуспальная кровать, а две односпальные вплотную, но это не чувствуется. Шумоизоляция плохая, слышно соседей в общем коридоре и они не стараются быть потише (хорошо, что соседей немного). Не было пододеяльника, вместо него положили обычную простыню. Температура горячей воды периодически сильно варьировалась (днём иногда приходилось выкручивать горячую на полную, чтобы было комфортно мыться), а напор слабоват.

It was very convenient as we didn't have to use the water taxi and the hotel was close to the station. Venice has an image of having a lot of old buildings, but this hotel has been renovated and is very clean and tidy! The interior is also lovely. The room was spacious enough to spread out two suitcases and was perfect. There was a wide variety of options for breakfast. My reservation hadn't been reflected when I checked in, but the Japanese-speaking staff member kindly helped me out and was very helpful!

Great accommodation for solo travellers on a budget. Extremely convenient to move around in Venice due to the centralised location. Near major attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well.

Ignore all those bad reviews. This hotel was totally fine. The staffs were kind & helpful. Room & bathroom were clean, no mold whatsoever. The only minor was the elevator which apparently only works for upper level. We will stay here again.
