"It was from far the best place I’ve stayed in my whole trip to China. It’s exactly inside the scenic area (so please note that you need to buy the ticket to enter in this area to be able to get in the hotel, and the area is full of stairs and only walking, so you’ll need to carry all your luggage). The room is big and comfortable, great shower, all the amenities, staff is amazing and helpful, even providing tips about which performances are better to see. The view is stunning: you see the waterfalls from your balcony. I loved the place, feel grateful for find it. "The hotel is right in the center and quite close to a scenic area where you have a great view of the waterfall. The staff were very supportive and helped us to get to the hotel from the train station and later helped us to get a taxi to go to the next city. The terrace of the rooms has a great view too but some of the rooms are separated from others."

"This was an excellent stay. The location is central and just next to the river where everything happens. The owner managing the place was amazing. He reminded us of the free pick up service and picked us up in the rain and carried out bags to the hotel. He pre-purchased our tickets and gave us valuable advice on what to see in the area. He gave us a room upgrade as it was off peak. The room was big, clean and had a nice balcony overlooking the river. Beds were comfortable and clean. Highly recommended!"

"Hotel located less than 10 min by walk from the scenic spot. The owner can help you to book a ticket a day before your arrival to have it cheaper. Free laundry service and easy check-in and check-out with all the explanations.
Only one problem was a client who smoked in the room in the evening while I wasn’t there so the room was smelling cold smoke that I don’t like.
However, as the owner was off, a kind employee helped me to change room to avoid the smell to rest peacefully.
I recommend this hotel."

"This place was so clean and had a great location! It was around the corner from the entrance to furong ancient Town and there was also a coffee shop and supermarket near by. The owners took me to the train station for free too, I did try to add them on we chat to see if they could pick me up as i got into furong very late, but they didnt add me, luckily there were taxis outside 🙏😊 The lady is so friendly as took me straight to the ticket counter when I arrived!"

"Great location as it’s right at the beginning of the ancient town. Very beautiful wooden building. Close to restaurants and sightseeing. Free upgrade on the room and free railway station transfers which is essential as my friend was significantly overcharged on a taxi from the train station as her guesthouse didn’t offer transfers. They even collected me from the train station when I went on a day trip. Can be a little noisy at night due to being located next to a bbq restaurant but I imagine most hotels in the area are similar due to the nature of older buildings."

The homestay is located at the entrance and exit of the Furong Town scenic area, on the side of the Qianqing Stone Street. It takes only 1 minute to walk across the wall to reach the Catholic Church and the Hand waving Hall, 3 minutes to reach the Copper Pillar Garden, and 5 minutes to reach the ancient and beautiful night view of the Tuwang Bridge. It takes 8 minutes to walk to the core attractions of "Tuwang Palace and Millennium Waterfall". Walking on the winding ancient bluestone street, witnessing the charm of the ancient town that has traveled for thousands of years. The location is very superior. Chinese people do not cheat Chinese people. It is convenient to go back and forth to the scenic spot and home stay for many times, taking care of play and rest (you can even lie on the bed and wait for the show of waving hands to start before starting to watch)2. Safe, comfortable, and clean. Self operated, the homestay owner is a local couple who work as local teachers. They are kind, enthusiastic, and of high quality. Friends who are away from home, especially girls, don't worry about potential safety issues (I am the daughter of the shop owner, and I have written this message specifically. Girls, please stay at ease~). Of course, other friends don't have to worry. In short, all three elements of safety, comfort, and cleanliness meet the standards. Dear guests who have come from afar, please rest assured to check in.3. Regarding parking: There are three large paid parking lots near the homestay: the Visitor Center Parking Lot, the West Gate Parking Lot of Furong Town Scenic Area, and the Sanjiaoping Parking Lot (the first two official parking lots are recommended). The homestay can be reached within a 3-minute walk. There are many supermarkets, restaurants, and beverage shops around the homestay, making it very convenient for consumption and shopping, avoiding high priced consumption within the core of the scenic area4. Regarding discounted tickets: Our store sells discounted tickets for scenic spots. __wlt151285****After carefully reviewing many homestays with 4.5+ ratings on Trip.com, I made the absolutely right decision booking this one. Staying in a thoughtfully run homestay genuinely beats spending thousands on a 5-star hotel. I won't mention the price, as it varies greatly between peak and off-peak seasons, but I must say that considering the incredible hospitality from Mr. and Mrs. Tian, the price we paid was truly a steal!
Firstly, before arrival, I had already contacted Ms. Gao, the landlady, who kept in touch about my arrival time (Mr. Tian picked me up in a military-grade off-road vehicle – I was stunned!!). During this time, I even received thoughtful reminders about a cold front hitting Xiangxi. The most important aspects of a homestay are cleanliness and tidiness, and this couple exceeded expectations (see pictures). They've thought of everything; the bathroom has a wet-dry separation, and the mattress can be adjusted from soft to firm, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. Plus, a full set of MI kettle, speaker, and TV – the amenities are top-notch, truly!
What I personally appreciate most is the location. It's on the highest level within the scenic area but at the perfect distance from the main attractions. You might think I'm silly and that staying in the very center is best, but imagine the crowded central area with people everywhere, plus the 24/7 surround sound of the waterfall. Could you really get a good night's sleep on your vacation? This location is ideal: a 3-minute walk down steps to Liu Xiaoqing's Tofu Shop, 5 minutes to the outdoor performance area, 8 minutes to the stone platform viewing area by the waterfall, 10 minutes to the waterfall's famous photo spot, and a little further leads directly to the Water Curtain Cave behind the waterfall. You can explore all of Furong's main attractions effortlessly. The rest of the time, I loved lounging on the shared rooftop terrace on the same floor, gazing at Tuwang Bridge – it's incredibly pleasant day or night! It rained intermittently this time, so the seats were a bit damp!
Also, Ms. Gao recommended the nearby restaurant 'Zao Shi Guang'. I was too rushed to visit this time, so I'll leave that as a reason to come back with my family!

GGuest UserThe owner contacted us beforehand via Trip.com and offered to pick us up from Furong train station; he also bought discounted entrance tickets to the scenic area on our behalf and drove us to and from the scenic area the night we arrived. Our room was in good condition, nicely decorated and quite large at this price point, with a decent view of the river. The owner’s friendly attitude and helpfulness really stood out, allowing us to have a worry-free short stay in Furong.

GGuest UserThis inn is absolutely charming!** The hostess is incredibly kind and goes out of her way to make sure you feel welcome, taking the time to explain everything in detail. The room was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. A lovely touch was the complimentary tea and water available at the reception.
When it was time to leave, she even helped arrange a taxi for us to get back to the train station, which was much appreciated. Really recommend staying here great hospitality and a wonderful experience overall!

XXuezhihuoThis hotel is nestled on a charming cobblestone street, just a leisurely 10-minute walk from the scenic area. The proprietress was incredibly warm and offered outstanding service. Every restaurant she recommended was excellent, with one even conveniently located just diagonally across from the hotel. She truly went above and beyond: she even took me on her scooter to charge my electric bike and was ready to ride me back to the hotel afterwards! She kept a close eye on umbrellas left in the lobby, and when I once forgot my phone there, she personally made sure it was kept safe for me. On my departure, I accidentally left my watch in the room, and the cleaning staff actually chased after me to return it. All in all, this place gets a massive thumbs up!

Parking is also more convenient. You can park downstairs in the inn for free~ Facilities: Downstairs is the owner's pharmacy~ Hahaha I think it is very convenient and a bit uncomfortable. There are two doctors downstairs, Chinese and Western medicine. The room we chose was a little smaller. After all, there were two people. The proprietress asked herself to choose the room on the day I went. It was really super super good! Although the room is small and complete, everything is complete, and the hygiene is really the cleanest family I have ever lived during this period of travel! Not dirty, not messy, not bad! Service: The boss and the proprietress are super good! And his little son hahaha is very fun, I really like the atmosphere of their family! The parking and driving boss will help to see it is really good! Food: The authentic snack proprietress arranged it for me! In the evening, their family made fried small potatoes and left me a copy. I really cried! The family is really delicious even if I go back to Sichuan, I miss the taste. Because I want to eat local food, I asked the proprietress to the restaurant next to the inn! Tianluo rice noodles are super delicious~ All empty dishes are empty. I really recommend this inn! Clean and hygienic! Really at home

Very soft, snowy, fluffy bath towels. The air conditioning works great. There is a balcony where it is nice to sit in a warm evening. The location is ideal: 10 minutes walk to the entrance to the ancient city, and close to the bus station. Walking along the River is 50 metres away. But most importantly, they are people. The owner is very polite and extremely kind man! He forgave me for my mistake when I forgot to give him the key from the room and helped to get to the station. The host wife of the hotel is very cute too! Thank you! I wish you health and prosperity to your business! from pure heart I recommend this hotel to all travelers!

He will pick you up from Furongzhen station & about 20 minutes car drive to his hotel. He’s truly good at his service, he carried all our 28 inch big luggage from car towards the doorstep! That’s the most amazing!😄
The room is same like in the photos & toilet for me is acceptable, clean & have hot & cold water! 🙂 We stayed here during end of October & the weather is slightly cold. It’s so good & comfy to sleep, you don’t even need to turn on the aircond 😆
Other good point is there’s water dispenser! Easy life happy life! The walk to Furong Ancient Town is about 10-15 minutes which i think is quite good as the view along the walk is very aesthetically aesthetic! I suggested you try the massage inside there! Foot + add on shoulder massages! It’s really therapeutic & chase away all your fatigue & pain! 😀

GGuest UserWe opted to stay overnight during our visit to Furong Ancient Town, and it really added to the whole experience. The location of our accommodation was excellent—just a short and scenic walk to the waterfalls, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. It was also very close to the performance area, so we didn’t have to go far to catch the cultural shows and activities.
From our room, we had a beautiful view of the ancient houses lining the river. The traditional architecture, especially when lit up at night, gave us a deeper appreciation for the charm and history of the town. Even though we were near the main attractions, the area still felt calm and relaxing.
Staying overnight allowed us to experience a quieter, more atmospheric side of Furong. After the day-trippers left, the streets took on a slower, more peaceful rhythm, and we enjoyed wandering through the lantern-lit alleys and hearing the sound of the river nearby.
It was a lovely part of our trip and gave us a more intimate glimpse into the timeless beauty of the town.

The corridors were laid with thick carpets, muffling footsteps, and adorned with elegant ink paintings. Soft, warm lighting cast a gentle glow, making walks through them exceptionally soothing.
Our guest room was clean and cozy. Stepping onto the balcony opened onto the viewing platform – wooden railings framed a lush bamboo grove. Tall, straight bamboo stalks with densely layered leaves swayed and rustled gently in the breeze. Standing there, surrounded by such vibrant greenery, even the air felt crisper. In the evening, the setting sun cast golden patches through the gaps in the leaves, with the shifting light and shadow creating the illusion of a secluded haven. On the fifth floor, there's another viewing platform offering panoramic vistas of Furong Town. Guests can also enjoy complimentary karaoke, singing while admiring the views and dining – we were absolutely thrilled with this experience!
The service was a significant highlight. At check-in, the front desk readily shared tips on the best viewing times for the platforms. The cleaning staff were quiet and respectful while tidying and even discreetly swept fallen leaves from the balcony. When we wanted to sit on the viewing platform, staff promptly brought rattan cushions – every detail reflected their thoughtful consideration.
Overall, this place seamlessly blends natural tranquility with warm, attentive service, ensuring a supremely comfortable stay. We'll definitely be back here on our next trip. This stay stands out as one of the most satisfying travel experiences I've had, even compared to numerous famous attractions I've visited!

It seems that only Huiran Building has a lobby, and it is also the most cost-effective among the five buildings. It is right in the center of the ancient town. The ancient town is not big, so you can just go shopping around it. Butler Xiaonan recommended going to his Waterfall Building in the evening to check in. Because he needed tickets, he didn’t go in. This time he decided not to enter the toll area. The trip should be like a trip.
