The Lodge Stanwell

Paul was easy to communicate with, sending my husband emails explaining details of where to park and easy to follow directions. Paul met us on arrival and the 4 of us ( 2 adults, 2 teens) instantly felt at home . He showed us to our rooms and offered to help with our bags. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Paul gave us directions to walk the 5 mins to local takeaways and a pub. We were very comfortable staying here and we will definitely return next time we are in the area. Thank you Paul - it was a pleasure to stay with you. P.s. Your garden is beautiful!

Owner replied promptly to our messages prior to arrival. We were able to check in earlier than initially advsied by communicating and confirming this first with Paul. Accommodation was extremely easy to find using the satnav and directions given. On arrival, he was in the garden mowing and airing sheets ☀️. From the get go he was very chatty and welcoming- I have no idea where the hostility comments have came from from other reviewers. Paul offerred to help us with our bags upstairs. We literally spent 1.5 hours speaking to him! He was happy to advise us of local amenities and places to eat. Being animals lovers, we found he had a cat and he kindly brought the cat to us to meet which we loved. The decor is gorgeous and everywhere seemed clean with a hairdryer available for the ladies too and plentiful of towels. There was a little table with fresh cut flowers by the window overlooking a beautiful garden making it feel like anywhere but near London. In the morning Paul catered to our needs and provided a breakfast that wasn’t on the menu along with orange juice as per special request. It was brought to our room bang on time. My partner advsied the sausage was the best he’s had in his mouth for a long time.. and I can confirm the sandwiches were good quality meat and we thoroughly enjoyed them. I honestly do not understand any of the previous negative comments- we had a fantastic over night stay and it is cheap as chips for how close it is to Thorpe park, the airport etc. Thanks again!

An unplanned one-night stay (due to flight cancellation) just an Uber ride away from Heathrow (we found the host Paul also provides rides as well). An online booking led us to a comfortable place to stay for the night with a marvelous and accommodating host. He provided directions to a local Chinese take-out for a late-night meal after a horrendous and lengthy experience at Heathrow! He also provided detailed instructions on how to get to Kings Cross station for a train the next day (as the airline couldn't get us on another flight for an additional day).

Clean and well situated accommodation for T2. The host Paul is welcoming and helpful. Coffee and biscuits in the room is good. Linen and towels are of a good quality. I can’t mark it down because it’s personal taste, but I prefer a thinner, feather pillow. We would stay again. Thank you.

Perfect location for overnight between flights from Heathrow. Very clean and cosy, with a comfortable bed and located right next to bus stop to/from Heathrow in a village with shops, pubs, etc. Paul is a friendly and welcoming host. Recommended.

If you need to stay around Heathrow airport’s this is s great place. In our case early flight and for convenience we decided to book a stay. Late arrival and Paul was there to receive us. Very comfortable and clean room, I had taken my 12 years old niece and her stay was for free. They also have other services such as parking. I will definitely come back.
