The Ark Stanley Luxury Bed and Breakfast

Disappointing Host Whilst the room and breakfast was pleasant we had difficulty with the host, Rhonda. She seemed unfriendly towards us and was unhappy with us not booking directly through her. On our last night we asked if we could have access to the continental breakfast a bit early and 2 eggs at 8.00am and we would bring our own tea and coffee, as we had to get the hire car back or pay for another days hire. When we arrived at breakfast at 7.50 am the door was locked. It wasn't opened until after 8.00am and then two other guests were given their full breakfast with everything before we were given our two eggs. I believe this was done deliberately.

Awesome spot Stanley is a very pretty place well worth the trip. The ark Stanley is quality, very well appointed with everything you need to make the stay comfortable. Excellent location and very friendly hosts who cook you breakfast and make you feel at home. Highly recommend

We stayed in The Admiral which is a beautifully appointed apartment with spectacular views and everything to make it a luxurious stay. Hosts Rhonda and Chris were very welcoming and made a delicious cooked breakfast as well as homemade yogurt and fruit condiments for continental breakfast. We loved sitting on the little balcony watching the sunset over the beach.

My wife and I stayed the one night after arriving late in the afternoon. We had the Admiral room at the front of the house. The bed was so comfortable and had the best pillows. Room was quite large and airy and the en-suite had just been renovated (by the looks). The house is in walking distance of the town centre. The hosts are lovely people very friendly who came and did a cooked breakfast for the guests staying. Overall a very positive and pleasant stay and we would certainly come back again

Amazing boutique accommodation in Stanley. The room and the view were outstanding and the cooked breakfast the next morning was excellent. Rhonda our host went above and beyond in communication and advising on places to eat at night. One night was not enough. Will be back.

From the first phone call to Rhonda this booking was perfect ! She gave me details on the best rooms for 2 couples who were booking in for a single night stay. On the day of our arrival she contacted me and asked if we had made arrangements for dinner as the pub was usually booked out, so we promptly made the booking. On arrival we were so happy with our accommodation. It had a fabulous view, was immaculately clean with some Tim Tams to have with a cup of tea or coffee from the coffee machine in the room. Rhonda and Christer make their own yogurt, jams chutneys and bread to serve at breakfast and they are like a well oiled machine. He does the coffees, serves the dishes and chats to the guests while Rhonda makes the breakfasts. Chair lift to the Nut for a great walk which I definitely recommend. Penguin platform visit to see the penguins arrive in for the night which I definitely recommend. The area around the platform is lit with red bulbs so you can see them clearly. (we attended around 9pm as they arrived) There were so many of them in the graveyard so if you hear any noises you know what it is lol. The Stanley pub does great meals so we are pleased we booked as every table was reserved on arrival. We also bought some cheese and lollies at the corner store (sour dough bread under $8.00 and it was lovely) We will definitely return to this lovely place
